Hi guys i have a a5k3a tdc 5 #525 its from what i can tell a 59 but it has a rotory injector pump would this likely be a original motor or is this maby a bd154 upgrade and i have a opportunity to buy a cheep b250 with a bd144 inline injector pump for parts is there casting differents  in the block between rotory pump and inline

being a low # I would try to keep it original what ever that be.

you will have to look up casting # or block stamp for size

but 144 is listed as std.  154 sounds right for 500

info suggest rotary was offered  and some inline pump parts are NLA

I have a TD-5 series B it came with a rotary pump. I can't remember when (serial # break) the change from inline was.

I kept the old valve blocks in parts but shes cooked and needs hardcroming  and as you see seat and frame aren't standard 

With the inline pump motors the compression is lower than the rotory type.. are the pistons different or are the heads different has anyone turbocharged these motors? Seem like a easy motor to tinker with
