How many had the 8 lug wheels? Mine has them on it. I’ve been wondering what mine would look like with my 2350 loader on it. I think I’m actually going to sell it and find a nice smaller loader for it. That’s a lot of loader for it, not that it looks bad or won’t handle it. I was thinking maybe a nice bush hog or westendorf or something like that. I even have a skid steer adapter made by work saver for my 2350. Because I have all the skid steer attachments it was cheaper to buy that so I could use my forks and bale spikes. It’s on my 766 now and fills it up.

I'd love to trade one of my 2250s for a 23, plus cash I expect. I would like one for my 986. I thought it would be nice to have an extra loader with a spear on it, but it doesn't get used...not with skidsteers everywhere. A loader on the 86 would surely get used, too bad we're so far away

Yah I have 2 86 series but just thought my little 756 would be so much more maneuverable. There are times I would use it on one if it were.

Okay, you have pallets of weights, so I figure you've got a good idea of value.  Everything I see on CL around here they ask $1/lb or more, but they stay on CL forever.  So what's the realistic selling price on suitcase weights?

(He doesn't sell them) but here in NY where I am, it's been $1/lb forever, and they are getting harder and harder to find at that.  at the right auction yearscago, we got a set for .80 cents/lb, that'll never happen again

I've decided that everything must be 40% cheaper in the west/southwest though, as I think I could have one of his finished tractors shipped here and still be cheaper than what a "rough" one goes for in NY.  (Milk prices will likely change that though.....old tractors we're going up in price last year as many guys couldn't afford newer ones. If milk stays like it is though, they won't be able to afford fuel for any tractor, so it won't matter.)

I wont give more than .75lbs for ih stamped suitcase weights and $30-50 a circle for wheel weights depending on part #. If they are aftermarket, scrap metal value. Most of the aftermarket weights i have came on a tractor i bought. Friend is coming down from IA this fall and hes taking back some weights and parts to sell up around Des Moines. They dont sell down here.

Hauled in some hay yesterday with the 756.

Love your lineup.  HOwever, really curious why you hang such huge racks of weights, front and rear, on the tractors, even a 706!   Is the ground that soft and loose?    My area we have just the opposite, our ground is heavy.  I've never seen more than 2 weights on the rear end of any local tractor.  No tractor under a 1066 ever had any rear weights on it for field work.  Having that many weights on a tractor would get you a visit from the compaction police...?

After years of replacing torques, rear ends, etc, nearly yearly, I finally removed ALL the weights, even on our 1486.  More slippage, but I never had to tear one down again.  Less compaction, too.    Sure is interesting how different areas need totally different approaches.

It will have a 2350 loader on it some. 4 sets of weights is only 600 per wheel, 1200lbs total vs 100gal 800+ lbs per wheel of liquid balast. The way i mount them i can remove 1or2or3 sets of weights eaisly. I originaly made the mounting bolts for only 3 sets but forgot the clamp on centers are narrower than wedgelocks so i had enough thread to mount 4th set. I have to haul a tractor to maintain my grandmothers land up on the red river and i needed a smaller, lighter and shorter loader tractor. Its nothing but sugar sand up there and no rear weights=no traction at all. Even the Lawn mower has **** with traction. Lots of trees and narrow trails and the 1026 is just too big to get around out there. Im on blackland. When its dry its like concrete and tires wont grab. When its wet its sticky and you have to dig in to pull through. If i was haying my tractors i would pull the weights but as little as i use them theyre fine. Im also going to be using the 756 to pull a 3yd pan scrapper cleaning out pools and it takes the wheel weights to pull and front weights (12-75lbs) to keep the front end down. Draft control does most of that though.

Thanks for the reply..Wow.   Sure sounds different.   My biggest problem is too much traction....the 4x4 is so locked in that the motor pulls down in every hard spot.    Until it rains and turns to slime.
