Looks like a good haul. Should make you a good parts rig for your others. I like the Firestones. 20.8x38’s??

Yeah 20.8-38.

986 is going to become a turbo tractor and get this injection pump as it and the injectors have clearly been recently changed.

That's 2 1586s now, isn't it?

What are you planning on chopping with your chopper? It appears to be a nice one.

A little bit of corn just for nostalgia ?

official count is now 986 1086 (2) 1486 & (2) 1586 so 6 totaL IH tractors.  My original 14 and this 15 just need to become parts tractors though.

We could put a hairdryer under the hood of that black Scout, Todd!

My 666, 856 and Hydro 100 have all had turbos added.  Sound good, perform better!

It's a low hour tractor that just needs a little more power.   I really want to chop some corn with it and for that a little boost will help!   Plus I love the sound of a turbo whistle :)

Found a 1566 Black Stripe not to far from my farm for sale.  Upon talking with the guy he bought it at a farm sale local to my farm in about 1991 from a family I know pretty well.   I spoke with them and it was in the family and they confirmed it really truly is a low hour tractor.   Kind of cool to know where it came from.   I was asked if I wanted to sell and explained I didn't but if I ever did I'd let them know.

So here's my newest tractor.  Seems to be a straight tractor that's tight.  I've never driven one that shifted so we'll.  3900 hours that I 100% now believe to be accurate.  I gave too much for it but it came with 12 IH 100lb weights and the rear tires are 80-90% Firestone 42" radials same size as on my magnum.

That’s a damn nice 1566 black stripe!!!! Since you think you over paid, you can send it north to me, and I’ll keep it at my place so every time you see it, you don’t hang your head in shame for over spending!??

My honest thoughts are, near new rubber, seat looks good, 3900 legitimate hours, all the sheet metal pieces are in place, including heat baffles, and battery covers, straight as an arrow, weights, and it’s a 76, not a late 75, you didn’t over pay!!!! That’s a tractor I’d love to own!!!

That's kind of how I see it   $1,200 worth of weights, 2K of rear tires, duals another 1K and suddenly the tractor isn't as expensive :)

I'm going to name this one Paul in honor of the man who had it.

I would love to find one just like that! 42" rubber would be the bomb!

I am actually thinking about swapping them with the real nice 20.8-38 on the Minnesota 1586 and then putting these 42" stones on my magnum.

With what the tractor is, and what it came with, that’s how you have to look at it! It’s a great looking 1566, I’d say regardless of price, you got a good deal!!!??????

Congrats! Glad you delved into the 66 series. I know you like 86 series but I have a feeling you’ll like 1566 a lot.

I’ve wanted an open station to mow under trees, for a plow day tractor, and to honestly just look cool lol.   I almost bought an open station setup for an 86 but just don’t think they look right and cutting a cab down doesn’t look right either.

So I made my mind up I wanted an open station and it had to be one of these 3; a 1206, 1456, or a Black Stripe and preferably a 15 as I just really like the 15’s.

I can’t wait to play with this some and put it to work a little bit this summer.

Anybody interested in a 1486. Motor runs and it drives. I am having some steering issues. I am not 100% ready to sell it, but I am close to deciding. It will go with a 15' Rhino bat wing bush hog.

How much and where? Asking for a friend lol

Got tractor unloaded Saturday.   It's going to need a new ignition switch and batteries.   May swap in 12v batts in place of the 6v

Steering column also started leaking at the top...

It's not tractor related but I was able to buy a piece of the original farm and that was finalized as of last week.   The part in pink is the 86 acres I previously owned, and the part in orange is the 46 acres I was able to purchase from my Aunt's estate.  The 20 acre field was broken into (3) 6 acre patches several years ago so I now own 2/3rds of it, and 3 40 acre squares.    The other 40 acre square to the north of my two, and the the other 1/3rd of that 20 belong to another aunt and I doubt I will ever be able to regain control of them.  She was the wife of my deceased uncle (dad's brother) and has no other family connection to want to let me acquire it other than pay full market price.

I know it's not tractor related, but I feel safe sharing here, and I know my tractor buddy's will understand how ecstatic I am about getting this back and more importantly keeping an outsider from buying it.   I paid for the property and I own it outright but it took just about every cent I had... But I'm stoked!
