B.B.
Losing your dad is tough, especially at your age! I've been down that road myself so I feel for you. As a matter of fact our stories sounds very similar. I grew up on the farm, and then went to college to find a different way of life. At 33 I lost my own father and was left with a mess in a lot of ways. I was lucky enough to inherit a good portion of the farm and I go there as often as I can. Mom still lives there so I have to take care of her especially in the winter as she still heats with wood. I have found the old saying true, you can take the boy off the farm but you can't take the farm out of the boy. Messing around with these old tractors just proves that and that has certainly proved true for me! Good luck with your big red tractors, I'll be watching to see your progress! KWRB
Hello There. My father passed away during my senior year of engineering school. Similar story. The day after he died, his restored OS-4 and H disappeared. I got left with the the most important one, a C workhorse. I used it after I moved home for mowing, and managed to snap a crankshaft, God only knows how. I figured, since I needed to rebuild the engine, that I'd restore the tractor and finally have a bright red one in the garage again. Seven years later, I'm finally rolling downhill on the project. I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I think your priorities are straight. KWRB
lowell66dart
As someone else mentioned get a steam cleaner. Maybe rent one for the weekend, pull the tin on all of them and clean them good. It will then be easy to spot the leaks.
