superih
Can anyone tell me how much slip additive is supposed to be added to the front differential?
1967806
Seems like the magnums call for a pint. I just changed mine in the 7130 this spring and it seems like the two tubes I used were 7oz each. I didn't know if you could "over do" that stuff or not.

DR.EVIL
Been my experience with the Traction-Loc rear axles in my Ford pickups that more additive is better than not enough. I've put Amsoil synthetic oil in my rear axle the last 3 times I changed the oil, bottles say no additive needed, but I put two bottles in anyhow and on snow, ice, or mud it acts like a locker but on dry pavement no chatter. Thing that amazes me is that the axle in my current truck has over 300,000 miles and still works like new. My past trucks wore out the clutch plates in the axles in 100,000 miles.
