  1. I had the opportunity to look this truck over this morning. It belongs to the father of one of my co workers. He recently inherited it from his Uncle. His Uncle purchased it new from the Mingo, IA store in 1956. He used it as a service truck for his garage. The boxes on the sides of the bed housed long welding cable used for jumping dead batteries on stranded vehicles. Another box contains an air hose connected to a compressor mounted under the hood for inflating tires. The bed has diamond plate welded over the original floor. A new tailgate was fabricated using the original upper and lower rails. The truck was repainted once. The 6 cylinder engine has 8,000 miles on an overhaul. The Operator's manual was in the glovebox. The first I have ever seen. We have contacted the Wisconsin Historical society for the line setting ticket.
  2. Nice clean one-owner from the Kellogg, IA area. Shows very little use. Most every belt, etc, have IH part numbers on them. Always shedded. Runs and drives excellent. Thought you guys would enjoy seeing this time capsule.
