This past summer I bought a 1486 that my cousins bought new in 77. Before I bought it they let a friend borrow it and he blew it up while using it. It sat for probably 5 or 6 years so I was able to buy it dirt cheap. The engine has never been touched or overhauled. The friend told me that it blew either water or oil out of the exhaust stack and he shut it down right away. So he says. I figured he blew the head gasket and possibly warped the head. Hi all, I have a 1967 TD15BG serial 21210 with the original DT361 engine. Injector tip number DLL145S261 pump DDGFC637-54AJ turbo Solar TC3B Ive dome a lot of work with this unit and to this unit including renewing both steering clutches, right side planetary bearings, fuel pump overhaul and renewing and calibrating the injector nozzles and rebuilding the starter motor. I parked it in the woods 15 years ago because it had a bad ring and pinion. Could not find parts. Recently I have ran across Reliable Aftermarket Parts out of Williamston MI. They had what I needed. I had to grab it and tow it to my shop. Once I got it inside I found the engine was locked. Finally have gone thru injectors,glowplugs and got it freed up. Next I will start the pinion removal. This is a 1962 model. Anyone ever done this ring and pinion job? Doesn't look like much fun. Took the shifter fork case off>> Oh well, I'm laid off for the winter,, it will keep me
