Hi everyone! I'm new to the group. We have an early 1970's 3820 series A backhoe/loader and I cannot find a replacement transmission/hydraulic filter. If any one knows where I can purchase one please let me know. OEM part number is: 397 063 R1
So Ive had a little trouble with the 3pt on the 686 lowering slowly once things warmed up a little (with a load on) Oil looks good, smells good, and was full. I totally forgot to change the hydraulic filter after I purchased the tractor and did the rest of the fluids (all but the rear end) so I went to the dealership and picked up a filter. Got home and pulled the cover plate off on the passenger side to see this..... So the filter was cratered and definitely not working. The relief valve was plugged also (supposed to be screen mesh under the small handle) so I went back to the dealer and picked up one of those also. I take better care of my stuff than that. The machine is almost all original and in this case I don’t like that original looking part...Bet you a dollar the 3pt works better now? You think?
I recently changed the hydraulic filter in my 574. Before I did this I had no issues at all with the hydraulics. Now I can't seem to get the filter primed back. I have actuated the lift controls over and over again to try and bleed the air out of the system. I don't have any pressure and I can't hear my pump whining like it use to. Do you think it's possible I had a weak pump and finally just went out upon trying to prime back this time? I've NEVER had this much trouble after a hyd filter change. Below is a picture of the filter. Dry as a bone. Not getting anything into the housing when I start the tractor up. Thanks in advance for any insight.
