I just brought home a very early 1972 (110th one off the line) 175C crawler loader. It is my first venture into stuff big enough to crush a car. I have mostly stuck to small engines and tractors up to this point. I bought a 400 pg (roughly) maintenance book online (ISS-1528-2), but it doesn't contain the simple stuff, like where are all the drains and what are the recommended fluids, filter locations, and frequency of changes. Does anyone have an Operator's manual for this machine that they would mind selling or copying for me? I cannot find any other service manuals for sale anywhere online, besides the engine. I have searched this forum and found a website that is somewhat supported by Komatsu for exploded diagrams, so if I know what to look for, I might be able to decipher where in the machine it is. My fear is that I will miss something that I don't know about. Picture books are always nice. Any help is appreciated.
I've owned this TD7C for 7 several years at my hunting camp was used on a small farm before that, Never any issues well maintained in great shape, While using that last fall started losing power for just a minute then stalled and the tube that come off the valve cover burst in spray oil everywhere, Replaced tube started right up the next morning ran for 3 minutes drove it closer to the house, stalled and hasn't started since, This the other day after sitting all winner I walked up to it it cranked over just fine, , After cranking for 5 to 10 seconds it stopped cranking put a charge around it one of sir for awhile and it will crank over 1 or 2 times then stop cranking, It's not the battery, If I spray starting fluid in it it will not even pop like it's trying to start, What would cause it all only to crank over for a few seconds and then lock up? I'm going to try to post a photo of the tube that I mean coming off the valve cover from a different engine but identical to what I have. Edit suggestions would be greatly appreciated I am not a diesel mechanic but that can fix anything
