  1. A customer of mine is thinking about putting a rops roll bar and canopy on his 1466. I saw on Iron Bull's website some pictures but not very plain as far as the mounting. I called them and they said the fenders need to mount to the ROPS. The axle brackets need to come off. I forgot to ask on the phone how close the frame is to the brake drums. If the structure needs to be taken off to service the brakes that's a pain. Also hw close are they to the rear tires? I This tractor is on 36" row spacing but has 20.8x38 tires. The tires can't go out any more because the axles have been chopped off. Anyone have one and care to share info or pictures? Thanks. https://ibullmfg.com/tractor_canopies/international-rops-and-canopies/
  2. How do I check my pump timing on a dt436. Bought tractor with issues. Won’t fire without ether, puts out tons of white smoke when I turn it over. It will stay on and run but sounds like it has a fuel knock and pours out white smoke. Running it in the shop with the overhead door open will just about burn your eyes out. I’m wondering if the pump is off 180 degrees. Thx
  3. So this is a followup to a thread I started a few days ago about putting a 510 loader on my 1466. The general consensus among some of you was that, yes, it can be done and has been done. I started to put the front mounting part on the tractor today and this is the problem I have; see the attached pictures. How do I get over this? I made a template of the arms that bolt onto the frame and I think there are two holes that will work... I'll have to drill holes for the arms to fit. This is about to become very depressing very fast. Any advice?
  4. Gentlemen: I've been offered a 510 loader in good shape, but am wondering if it will fit on my 1466? All of the mounting brackets are there, too. Thanks for your input.
  5. Hello, I'm hoping that someone can help me identify this loader. The owner said that it was on his 1066 and it was a good fit. He unfortunately doesn't know the make or model. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  6. Hello everyone - Greetings from Charlotte, NC. Unfortunately, my father passed away recently (he was 58) and I'm left with three Internationals: 1966 806D (pictured), 1967 806D, 1974 1466 These tractors were never show ponies - always work horses on a dairy. He bought the '66 806 before I was born (I'm 29). Because of this, they're all in need of a good amount of work - particularly the 806s, they both need a new clutch. I don't want to sell the tractors - I'd like to keep them and restore as I find time & money. Although I spent the first 20 years of my life milking cows, stacking hay, and cutting silage - I stepped away from that after college and now work in engineering. It's safe to say that these old tractors inspired my fascination with engineering and mechanical stuff. My first goal is to get them all running - some have been sitting for a few years, but were all running when parked. The '66 806 just required a new battery and a shot of ether to fire right up. I suspect the others will be the same. This will take years of work and tons of money, but hopefully it'll be worth it in the end. I'm sure I'll need the help and support of this community. Pictures of the other tractors to come shortly. Thanks, -Chad
