  2. I'm going to mount a CIH 510 loader on my CIH 5230. In loader operators manual, it says since I have 14.9R24 tires on the front, I will need Oscillation Stops. Does anyone know what these are or where they would mount? There's a small hole in the loader mount and in the tractor frame that I'm guessing it attaches to. Any idea what it would be listed under on CIH parts? I've been looking for it but to no avail under tractor or loader. Not sure how critical it is, I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks for any pictures/advise/description of these stops.
  3. I'm looking at a CIH 510 loader to put on my 5230 Maxxim. It's self leveling, quick attach. I believe it was made by Great Bend. I have a GB 660 loader and have had zero problems with it on another tractor. I like the idea of self leveling. What's the difference between the 510 and 520 loader? I know I can't be too picky to find a loader with the mounting brackets for my tractor that's 25 years old is a long shot anyway. Just wondering what the difference between the two models is?
  4. There's quite a difference between the two tractors, but you're right it would be a lot easier to try to adapt what I have than starting with a blank piece of paper (or in this case steel). Sure would be nice to find the mounts but it isn't looking good.

  6. I have a Ford 7710 with a GB 660 loader. I want to move that tractor to manure spreader duty and put the loader on my CIH Maxxim 5230. Ideally, I'd keep the loader mount on the Ford in case I ever had to put the loader back on it in the event of the 5230 needing major work done. Since GB is out of business and bought out by Bush Hog, I called them and basically they just laughed that they haven't had those in several years/no longer available. I heard they made the 510 loader for CIH but my dealer said they don't offer/can't get the mounting brackets either. Just wondering if anyone by ch

  8. Been nothing but rain in the northeast for weeks. I'm in CNY and I can promise anyone from my area that we will have the best weather all summer in the 3 days I leave the farm to go to Red Power!! Thinking about taking a Cub Cadet. I have a couple questions someone may be able to answer: 1) I have to join their chapter or be a member of another accredited chapter to display, correct? Can I join that day at the show or do I have to be a member in good standing xxx days before the show? 2) Are admission passes free/reduced for people who bring displays? I see vendors g

So Bill, did you guys get the F-12 running?  Did you get to drive it?  Hope you had a safe trip home.  We enjoyed the show and stopped at Jelly Belly Jelly bean factory, and hit the "Gathering of the Orange" in Indiana.  Bought 3 nice IH oil cans at that show, one I've never seen before fire extinguisher recharge canister. Saw another show in Bucyrus Oh which was nice as well and enjoyed talking to some farmers from out there.  Only 2 dairy farms in their whole county, all corn and soy and mine is taller than theirs since they planted so late this year due to rain.  Saw this and thought of you.  http://oneonta.craigslist.org/grd/5628468162.html

    Looks like a heck of a deal.  I have enough trouble keeping what I've got running though.

      hi mark, we just got back from methodist night at the binghamton mets. mets lost....

      i was guessing that the F12 would be running by 2pm friday. actually, it was 230pm. i didn't drive it myself, but it was test driven saturday am after it was painted friday night, and then touched up before it was presented to CaseIH on saturday afternoon.

      think i'll pass onthe CL 560. like you, i have more than enough to maintain/ rebuild.

      you guys must have planned out your trip well, to hit that many shows on the same trip. it sure looked dry thru the I90 corridor in In and Oh.
