  1. These all would have gone to waste!!!
  2. Everything around here comes from Kansas. That’s one of my favorite runs. Good share of it comes from Lyons here
  3. I love trucking OTR just hate how busy and behind I am when I get home
  4. While we are talking about mud.... this was me last spring
  5. Haven’t heard of slugs in corn here yet
  6. You can get insurance without them. The just don’t like people to know that
  7. We do not participate in the farm program anymore. 4 years ago we had a 6 inch rain right after planting and they checked our compliance on the highly eroadable ground then. Needless to say it didn’t go well and even though we fixed all the terraces and waterways immediately they wanted to fine us and take 40 more acres out of production for grass strips and waterways!!!!
  8. A patch is always best on any kind of tire
  9. I guess I didn’t mention that we haven’t been able to get any success with no till on our wetter ground so far just side hills
  10. Need about 4 more days here. We have already planted 20-30 acres that is usually cat tales and swamp
  11. Going to assume that we will be turning it black every other year if possible. I appreciate everyone’s opinions on this
  12. Thanks I like the idea of those. I will try to get those on a couple rows this week so I can see if there’s a difference
  13. We have an emu 335 and it just leaves all the residue on top. You can get similar results with a stalk shedder in my opinion so I will agree with the “kicking the can down the road thing “
  14. You have a picture of those closing wheels Bitty?
  15. So far haven’t seen a drop in yield but concerned we will have to much residue on top after a couple years. We are on 20 inch rows so not much room to throw trash into
  16. Part of why we are doing it is we haven’t been able to get any fall tillage done for a couple years and we can’t find any help anymore
  17. We have started no tilling more since we got a planter with better row cleaners and down pressure. We did 200 acres last year and have done about 600 so far this year. Last year we couldn’t really see any yield difference. We raise mostly continuous corn with a few beans if we need to clean up some volunteer corn once in a while. Just wondering what everyone is seeing in this situation. We traditionally are full tillage so this kind of makes me feel like I’m doing a sloppy job of farming in a way.
  18. Not very often I see the safety chains hooked lol
  19. Little different kind of awesome pics here but still awesome!!!
  20. I sell the evo to people that want the name but will most likely have the tires rot off before wearing out. Put a set of four 18.4 42 on a 2388 combine a couple years ago and stubble went through them first season
  21. Can get one from my friends 4250 I put them on
