  1. How is end of steering cylinder attached to wishbone? Block and pin or ball joint?
  2. Now I not 100% familiar with 1256 but I feel they were originally equipped with an alternator with external regulator. That throws in more places to troubleshoot. Unless the tractor has been converted to the built regulator alternator style.
  3. They recently scooped up the value implement chain. I believe osseo, menomonie, arcadia, and I think Baldwin. There was a post couple months back brushing on the subject.
  4. I been having decent luck with napa 1469 in there. But then again they probably not very good filter. I am happy with them. Just my opinion.
  5. Neat. Thank you for sharing.
  6. Be careful there some shoddy aftermarket rubber torsion springs out there. Flip them over and lay a straight edge across them. Make sure the distance from straight edge to pipe where brass bushing goes in is the same. If distance is shorter than original it will not go together. We have seven of them style seat suspensions we keep going. Just did one week ago. Had 4 rubbers on shelf and they not right. Had to grind it down to fit. Other two going back to where they came from. Save your old one just for measuring purposes.
  7. Is there any decent seat options out there that bolt to existing hydraulic suspension? I see some listed. Wondering if anybody had experience with any.
  8. If I were to move anything I think the planter be easiest. Just make sure your markers are adjusted right and you really gotta be on the ball while planting.
  9. We gonna need to know what hitch pump you're running. Has it been converted?
  10. Make sure your battery cables are adequate for 6 volts. See a many 6 volt systems fighting with too light of battery cables.
  11. They good heavy pullers. Not quite the gear selection range. The brakes are the downfall when it time to replace them. They a little harder to get to than other 86 models
  12. Hytran level up where it belongs? Maybe try running it a little overfull.
  13. 1666 would have a longer sieve. Both rigs will work for corn.
  14. I seen alot of them with Burris scopes on them.
  15. Some time and a die grinder will work if you want to save some money. You can use your old steering ram too if you customize the tie rods.
  16. Here is the only digital pic of 260 I can find at moment. It only swaths about 40 to 80 acres barley per year.
  17. Who else kinda uncomfortable trusting the oil light?
  18. these are are a couple pics of the latest 686 with the Nord Implement decals. Seems like decent tractor. Came with 2250 loader. Only bad thing is the 15.5's
  19. Thank you for the interesting info. The latest Farmall 686 we acquired has them decals on it. One thinks back we have lost alot of dealers of all colors over the years.
  20. Got a few pieces of equipment that didn't originate in our general area. Wondering if they still in operation or if anybody was familiar with them when they were. Here are the dealer decals.
  21. They been known for their cabs. This 550 bushel wagon has me wondering what else they were putting out for equipment.
  22. Glad it worked. Barley being pulled by 966. Very short haul. I swear I attempted to put up pictures before with no luck. Did the forum change something to make it easier on the not to technologically savvy?
  23. I did same thing on a 3688. Was a head scratcher at first till I counted the old ones. Put in what was originally in there. Put extra on shelf. I wonder what models actually use all the discs and plates from them kits.
