  3. Have been collecting parts from varies place's, I have a question not sure of what I am finding? Some brush guards the screen is straight across and up and down. Other I have are diagonal. no matter how you turn them the grid stays the same. Did International or Caterpillar make them different? Witch is correct for witch? Never noticed it before.
  4. I was able to get a mounting bracket from general Gear. Found that a Cycle Ray guide lens from an old knucklehead Harley fits these old style crawler guide lights perfect same size. Has a different pattern on the lens but with brush guards on you can't see it anyway.
  5. Just went through this a couple months back. Could not find anyone that would sell me the seal, only would install lip seal if we send it to them. Mine was leaking so bad it would over flow the fill tube. Fixed now but pricey.

If I remember right you tap and install flush plug center hole and that will make pressure to end where hex plug is. to supply your loader valve. You must have flow do not dead end anything open center loader valve with flow back into rear end for return.
  7. By your right leg is there a lever? hydraulic lever? under the seat there should be some hydraulic and a valve by your right leg, if not than it should have some kind of end cap like one I pictured.
  8. Do you see end cap like this on end of your rear remote valve? This would usual get replace with a power beyond end cap. to give supply pressure. They are very hard to come by Try WWW.ihpartsandequipment.com See if Mike can help you.

  11. if you have an air wrench gun you can take the wheels off in 15 mins. or paint everything red. If you try to paint silver and red you will have a mess with the over spray.
  12. mine was a 1984 with front side panel red. brought it in pieces from boxes to this picture. now it has a 2250 on it I can't find the picture.
  13. As 12 guy said board or plywood something to slide it on. Most I have taken the bar and blade off need a lot of heat to get the pins out and a long punch like 1/2" or 3/4" about 16-18" long that will get it in two pieces and it still will be fun.
  14. The new bolts I put in are 4" I guess I should remove filter and check top bolts for tightness.
  15. CIHtech, What would make them strip out from pump? So I should remove bolts one at a time and run a wire in hole to see where it bottoms out. I know the left one is grabbing better than the right one. I reused the old copper washer I am sure new ones would be better. Mabe you know what is with the Case IH parts look up? I could not get in it.
  16. I installed new filter and O rings as soon as I started tractor 3pt. lifted up good sign. power steering and FEL work fine. Never had to dead head remotes at all. Checked for leaks all good with filter cover, BUT the two bolts with no paint where both leaking fluid out. The heads were both loose you could pull them right out When you look at the threads you can see aluminum. I have not been here before, but I have had no leaks before either. I am thinking these thread into backer plate only? So they are 5/16x3-3/4 I went and got 4" new ones and got the left one tight and the rig
  17. jimb2, I could not get filter today will have first thing tomorrow morning, Removed old filter it looked mostly clean. we will see what happens. Tractor is stored in a old barn but has dirt floor so moisture could be the tact problem. I guess I should remove cable and check for wear on it. Has been working fine till this last cold weather set in.
  18. It seamed I had some lift, I revved it up and got the bucket full of snow to come up 2 feet so I could limp it to the barn. No power steering and 3 pt. will not lift. I am thinking plugged filter. was going to pull it in the morning. could be this filter was never changed, I don't know have only had tractor a year 1700 hours on it. would tact drive have any thing to do with this? Tact stopped working today. No howling or change in sound.
  19. I have been using my FEL in the past 6 months with no problems. Spreading chips and loading firewood This was the first time with snow removal, cold in the upper 20's Warmed it up and after about 15 mins pushing snow lost the hydraulics. Hydraulic Fluid was drained in spring when I put the FEL on, looked clean Not contaminated with water that I could see. almost clear in color Put fluid back in and fill a little above line on dip stick. Have not changed filter in this tractor yet. I know water could freeze it, I guess better pull filter and see what it looks l
  20. Any one else have any crawler guide lights they would part with whole or parts lens.
  21. Redwood back in 2013 when I was working on my cousins TD-6 you told me you had 2 crawler lights that had been converted to car sealed beam bulbs. May be you still have the guts, reflectors and lens? Or even the lights. What I like to do is change the bulb sockets to newer type bulbs. than they look original but easy to get bulbs for. Let me know what you still have left. Thanks
  22. I have one complete crawler guide light with brush guard. I am going to change bulb socket to modern type bulb. Have a second one with broken lens and could use a third for the rear light. Anyone know where I might find any lens or light units? Thanks
