I bought a 1947 McCormick Deering W4 at auction in 2012 . It is a local , one owner ,original condition tractor. I have chosen to leave the W4 in its working condition and have only replaced the parts that needed to be replaced to keep it going. It always gets lots of attention at any show it has been at. The gold color ( it has faded to a golden color) does stand out when parked in the red line up.
Dad owns a 1947 Case Dex (bought in 2015 as it is similar to one my grandfather farmed with) and a 1945 Farmall H (bought in March 2016) .
Dad and I bought a 1945 McCormick Deering W6 (bought in April 2018) and it will be another of our restoration projects as time allows.
We enjoy taking these tractors to the vintage shows around the lower South Island of New Zealand and we also enjoy learning the history of the International Harvester Company.
IH Kiwi and I made it to Red Power Round Up 2013 in Lima , OH and talked Dad into joining us when we made it back to Red Power Round Up in 2016 in Union Grove ,WI . Hopefully we can get back to a Red Power Round Up again soon .
