  2. maybe grafting in your old TD340 engine? parting that machine out soon, just no time to get all the u/c stuff I got to go back in
  3. 15k lbs i can get it moved for free by friend as long as within state
  4. Yep got it for about 6 delivered, 80 miles. i haven’t seen much in that price for the condition. Beat jd350 are well over 10k here (this is jd450 size ) very happy to have new motor/ uc i think your numbers are about right and feel that I got a great machine at a great price
  5. Agree mmi, for farm use and playing, I should be good. U/c is all berco. I will post up the rollers, sprockets, idlers, track/pto/pump/engine/new clutches etc or someone can reach out via pm/email at plastikosmd at yahoo dot com
  6. Ok here is plan b new u/c, new motor t340 and td340 and pto parts for sale soon
  7. looks like moving on, newer machine with new engine/uc etc T340 parts to be posted soon
  8. It isn’t just bearings, just always something rebushed front idlers, good motor and pump, rollers, sprockets and a pto to boot I plan to look at a couple machines this week and make a decision part and scrap or keep moving on
  9. Plan b didn’t work out either I may go back to plan a or move on. This project has stalled for me... on the plus side there will be a lot of t340 parts available to someone!
  10. Well bearings fell though, I have a line on a new set and a “work around” stay tuned
  11. Yes inner and outer are different inner are ok, outer shot pdf was perfect now that idlers are done and I get these bearings in i should be good to go other than hard steer on right track
  12. Ok 2 st223a bearings on order $275 in total will update on installation when they arrive hope to get this project done this year! thx a million mmi
  13. Looking for someone to help with spec to order/ replace something similar to the caged ball set in final drive.
  14. ^ good eyes, that wrench is amazing slides are good, I have a smattering if reasonable rollers The only remaining issue is that the steering clutches have been done by a prior owner however turning right and less going uphill is still quite difficult. It appears to of been a long-term problem as the right-hand turn and lever appears to have been welded at the angle with a gusset as it takes a significant amount of effort to try to turn it. mmi had suggested looking at brakes so with uc off, will do that then go back to clutches
  15. Guide arms are true bellow seals will be replaced with similar seal to keep dirt out but the double lip spring seals will be doing the work of retaining oil
  16. I will start a gentle restoration and do some research, serial # tracks to 1966. Seems good enough for farm use Extra unused standard bucket to boot tho I like the 4:1
  17. Well this is what happens when u buy a crane truck! Just got it on the road for “projects” and one came along. Free case 310 dozer. Sitting for 25 yrs, sunken into dirt floor, falling down barn in the woods. Cut our way in, used the crane to drag it out. Jump pack and a shot of ether and we drove it up and out and onto trailer. Owner, who gave it away, said he hadn’t seen it run since he was 9. He is 35. 1100 hrs on working meter.
  18. T340 idlers Before Bored, helical groove placed in bushings. Hand reamed and now to cut for seals on each end
  19. Ugh what a mess one side had broken bellow seals bronze on one side, steel on the other, screwdriver is held by magnetic force in the steel bearing Other side someone got rid of bellow seals and pressed in a block of metal to take up the space. They also tried to do the bushings but one spun and walked into center of wheel. I'm guessing grease was the wrong lubricant. There was a ton in the center hub but I doubt the bushings saw any Bushing extracted
  20. Well it seems someone replaced one of the old bushings with steel. Well that won't work! The bellow seals will be an issue but I will come up with a fix
  21. Yea, a quick search on site they are some form of "bellow " seal i wonder if I can just make a dust cover with a seal and cut an o-ring groove on both inboard and outboard side of bushing to retain the grease
  22. Idlers need rebushing i don't have any experience as to what this seal/ bushing should look like does anybody have a pic of one outside of wheel? I was just going to put on the lathe and cut and bush but I now see there is more to the center of this wheel. Maybe I can find something aftermarket and adapt Images here...
