  1. Case 94 vs IH 50 Series

That's a funny comment , the 23 and 2594 was the same tractor only 2 wd and there are lots of those still kicking around the area still working.
  2. My MX 240

I think they are the ones with the CAPS fuel system.
  3. JD 7000 planter

    That's a good looking 4640.
  4. 656 d282 cooling

One other thing , pull the belt off that drives the water pump start it up look in the rad and even have someone crack the throttle while your are watching the rad and if its moving or bubbling you got head gasket or head trouble.
  5. 1206 w/ 30 inch rubber

Are you sure its factory and not been changed at some point? A lot can be changed in 50 years.
  6. scrapped 1086

All 1066's had 3 1/4" axles none had 3 1/2" regardless of what people think.
  7. Programmer for c15

I have piloted a truck a mile or maybe two in my life , I get a real laugh out of some of the numbers being tossed around here 800,900 someone gotta have a 1000hp somewhere on here. Almost as funny as an oil thread.
  8. 94-06 Dodge Ram 2wd to 4wd conversion

Well we too have a Chrysler Intrepid that has been an excellent car but after this winter will be parked due to the body falling off of it but its a 1997 so we are not complaining. Most of my trucks have been GM with a couple of fords in the mix with no real complaints on my Super duty Ford. Luckily I have some relatives in the used car business so I can buy at wholesale so I thought I would try a Dodge. I like the 6.7 it works well with no issues the truck is a 3500 srw mega cab Laramie with 100000 miles on it. I always thought the older Dodges were a turd and to be truthful this thing feels very cheap compared to a GM or ford , you don't drive a Dodge down the road you herd it. I still have my rusted out 2003 Chevy with 400000 k on it and find myself driving it more than the goat. What I'm saying is if you are driving a GM now you will be greatly disappointed.
  9. 94-06 Dodge Ram 2wd to 4wd conversion

Do you have a dodge truck now? Have you owned one in the past? I bought a 2008 almost a year ago now and will not say nothing until you answer my question.
  10. 3788 plowing

No way to stop it. The more load with hard ground the faster its going to fall and the draft control is keeping your plow from going out of sight. When everything is working correctly you will barely feel your draft control working when you hit a real tough spot that pulls down hard on your plow.
  11. 3788 plowing

You need to rebuild the lift piston in the hitch. What its doing is leaking down and correcting itself continuously.
  12. 3788 plowing

Does you hitch drop when you shut the tractor off ?
  13. Hydrostatic tractors on a grain cart.

Not really an answer to question but I tell the guy running the cart to hit a certain speed and hold it there. For me its 4 mph don't speed up or slow down just let me load the buggy. I hate it when the guy in the tractor is trying to load it, just hit the speed I say and drive straight ahead and don't look back.
  14. Custom combining rates

What does it matter the age of a guys machinery as long as its in good shape and does a good job. I have actually got some customers from another custom guy that runs shiny new iron but does a piss poor job but he is fast. I can cut 10 acres an hour with my OLD 2188 and a 30' 1020 in 60 bpa beans. I get $45 an acre for corn beans and wheat so that means you were pushing $50 an acre to watch shiny iron?
  15. 1975 model 966

Looks like a pieced together POS with a barn yard mop and glow paint job.
  16. Wheatland 6788 2+2

Probably sold here in Ontario, everything here has 3 pt. My 6388 came from western Canada.
  17. Hubs on straight axle

I think I have a couple pairs of 3 1/4" hubs and rims.
  18. Hubs on straight axle

Fawcetts has them part #hc1287801c91 or if you have a red or green dealer close they probably carry A&I and they have them as well.
  19. Hubs on straight axle

You can buy brand new aftermarket wedges for $175 a side.
  20. Wheatland 6788 2+2

Yes no problem the front tank held 90 gallons so it was more than enough. I sold it but kind of wished I didn't.
  21. Wheatland 6788 2+2

It is not rare by any means. I would bet that there was not 1 shipped to western Canada with 3 point and I have seen lots of 6x88's for sale out there and is one for sale right now. I bought a 6388 a couple years ago with no hitch and added it to it. You can see in the picture I still had the swinging drawbar because I couldn't find the proper drawbar support however I had everything else installed. I also have a 5088 right now with no hitch from western Canada.
  22. Need Help Figuring Out What to Do

I don't think he is looking for a project, that tractor needs transmission work. It has no odd gears.
  23. 710 or 720 IH plow questions

There was something wrong with your set up if you could not plow stalks a 16". I plant 32500 population and average 180 -200 bpa dry and have no problems. The 735 I bought was seized at 16" and came off a tobacco sand farm and they plowed stalks with it. No matter what you say something wasn't right.
  24. 710 or 720 IH plow questions

A 720 16" bottom will not plug in cornstalks as long as you have decent coulters and they are set correctly. I have been pulling 5-16's for years and it has euro bottoms on it as well. Last fall I acquired a 735 vari width with super chief bottoms on it and against my better judgement I did half my plowing with it. This spring after riding over the ground it plowed I was ready to cut it up into small pieces and send it to China. Half of our land is hard enough it doesn't crumble when it leaves the mouldboard so the good old super chiefs leave it standing straight up no matter how fast or slow you go. The euro's lays it over flat and smooth. And yes the euro bottoms pull easier I know because I have both and even the amish manufacturers are using euro bottoms because the pull easier and do a smoother job. I will never use super chiefs again.
  25. Wheatland Rear Wheel Centers

I have one of those centers that I pulled off a tractor I wrecked a couple years back.
