  1. 2388 on soybeans all systems working great. Then hyd pressure light flashed a few times and on and off. I shut it down. Thought I had a leak and losing oil. No leak. Tank was a bit low so I decided to change filters and Hutton. Got done about dusk, decided to run it a bit to see if all ok. Ran 2 dumps, all perfect. Decided to quit for day. But when driving back to cart and pickup, dang hyd light flashed a few times. What is my gremlin. Is the pressure light for the hydro pressure or the belt driven aux pump, or both?? also I had driven it 24 miles to this farm in road gear, it pulled hills fine. thanks for thoughts, experience, suggestions etc.
  2. Wanting to replace the steel engine fan with a plastic one late model 2388. Also going to replace the hub that the fan runs on. Question: is there room to get bolts out of the fan and not ding radiator. I will also check the motor mounts and fan to shroud clearance. Once bolts are out is there room to get the fan out and back in without removing radiator or shroud. Same length bolts used for steel or plastic fan? thanks for any comments or advice.
  3. I have a propane 656 for sale cheap
  4. I thought maybe the suspended axle would dampen the shock realized in going thru ditches or whatever.
  5. What about differences in "toughness on a conventional 215 front axle and a suspended front axle?
  6. Those rear casting are plenty tough in my opinion.
  7. Thinking of running Duals on my MX 215 but it only has 10 bolt hubs and the lug bolts need to be replaced with longer ones to accommodate the dual extensions. will this setup be ok with Duals or is there a reason not to run Duals on 10 bolt front hubs? thanks for advice/experience.
  8. Each to his own. You certainly have a right to your opinion as we have the right to enjoy our modified throttle levers!
  9. Thanks for sharing this information!
  10. Thanks SD! You helped me once when my hyd on 2388 was acting funky. You said eng oil press sensor: Bingo! thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.
  11. My brother was running my 2388 finishing up Corn a couple years ago,and the metal engine cooling fan went to pieces and involved the radiator and the air to air box. we replaced the components and added the plastic cooling fan. I hired the work done but was sure we didn't replace the fan shroud. Now I have purchased another late model 2388 that still has the steel/aluminum fan. Parts man says some have to have a different fan shroud, and motor mounts. Would this be for earlier 2388's, can anyone say. Shroud is almost 3 times what the fan is cost wise. also if the shroud doesn't need changed can the metal blade be removed and plastic one installed without tearing things apart much. New bearing on fan mount? TIA

  13. Can the replacement of that same assembly correct over charging?I have on the other hand a 7210 that maxes out the bar chart and alarm after start up and I have to turn on field lights to bring it down to operating range. Will I be helped by changing the assembly mentioned in the previous post?
