      I live in Irvington, VA, up on the Rappahannock River near the Bay.  That is a nice looking TD9.  The winch is nice too.  The clutch coupler is the splined shaft that is #14 in the first picture that Louie posted.  The splines might be stripped which may be your grinding noise.  Hector Gemme is very knowledgeable, but he is from Quebec and English is not his first language.  i have bought part s from him and he is reliable if he has something you need.  Good luck with your project.  I was just off looking at a Wabco 444 motor grader today.  I seem to have a penchant for orphan equipment that you cannot get parts for!!!
