  2. Ralph, You need to get a flex head like we use for soybeans. Add field tracker & you will not have to dig the dirt out of the header when combining. If I was 2000 miles closer I would come over & help you out. Ray
  3. I had one of those back in the 90s, kept blowing head gaskets . otherwise a good little machine. Got rid of it after a couple years
  4. 664 is a 656U with 239 German engine. even the fenders are the same.
  5. That is actually a Farmall 664 .
  6. Does it have T A ? If not then 80W 90 for the trany & hytran for the Hydraulics. I put about 10,000 hrs on dads 300U.

  8. T4, T5, & TD5 were built in Hamiton Ontario Canada. I have a TD5 with a Drott skid shovel loader.
  9. What year is the Louisville Brian? Bought a nice tandem with an Aluminum box 2 years ago.
  10. I had a 1640 I bought new with that kind of trouble, The Dealer came & pulled the valve & found a small speck of something in it. Blew it out and no more trouble.
  11. My 1420 had a 358. Cummins 5.9 maybe 1620.
  12. Alex, I am just a short distance from Alliston or Hensall, Lots of IH equipment still working in this area. I am sure you could find a Job at any of the CNH dealers, also lots of JCB equipment out there. btw, how is the 806 working for you. Ray

    1466 hy tran

    I have a couple steep hills , PTO will stop when cutting down hill if the rear end is at level on the dipstick. Add extra Hytran & it works , so yes it works.

    1660 Is Back

    You don't need to pull every thing apart to get the nuts off. Just take an angle grinder with a cut off wheel and cut a slot in the end of the bolt so you can use a screw driver to hold the bolt . I used a modified wonder bar to get the one on the right side. then make sure you have the shaker in the middle of its stroke when you tighten it back up and you will be good for a long time.

    806 weak brakes

    Check that nothing is blocking the orifice at the master cyl. I had that on my 1256 that I bought at a inventory reduction sale. marginal brakes when I bought it then cutting hay one day I lost all brakes. I remembered someone on this forum saying that when you do some work on the hydraulics be careful not to get any bits & pieces in the system. Well I first checked the brake disc & found 4 brand new metalic discs ( they cost 250.00 cdn. each). next step I took off the hyd. line at the master cyl. & found a piece of Oring stuck in the orifce so bad I had to use a needle nose pliers to pull it out, also a couple small pieces of plastic. Put the line back on an I had brakes like you wouldn't believe. punch line, someone spent $1000.00 & still had no brakes. Guess thats why they sold it.

    585 does not have down pressure on the 3pt. hitch.
