Hi thauth, D310, might this be a 4 cyl diesel fire in inlet manifold ( on left hand side ) 4599cc engine, lift pump on rhside camshaft driven, with hydraulic pump on same side mounted on timing gear chest and injector pump on lhside, siamezed exhaust ports on rhside meaning valves are IEEI IEEI configuration ?? Cannot remember what engine but potaro pampas crank had to be rotated 27 times from memory before timing marks realigned, gears..... Might the 310 engine be fitted to 1984 ih 685...

Shortly I will be kicking a 1984 ih 4 cylinder 685 which UK dvla saying it has a 4599 cc diesel having the fuel lift pump on the RHS, with the siamezed 2 port exhaust manifold ( no lid on top of exhaust pipe for past 24 years ), the haudraulic pump is on this side on back of timing chest, and the fuel filters, inj pump and *fire in inlet manifold* are on the lhs with the starter motor. Could anyone help with info please on this engine and transmission, parts exploded views would be wonderfull. Going round in circles getting info, I need your help . All info greatly recieved...thanks
