Somewhere my grandpa has an old metal toolbox with the IHC logo stamped into it. That has to be pre-1939 at least. I'm pretty sure it would've come off an F-20 or something, but he never had one (oldest tractor on the farm is his dad's '54 Super H). Maybe it's from the previous owners???

Not today, but I got the garden plowed with my 149. My brother is standing on the hitch to give me more traction, since I don't have wheel weights. That smoking engine is currently out of the tractor and being rebuilt (waiting on machinist)

Do you have wires shorting somewhere, or maybe a bad ground?

Try the points and condenser next; That's about all there is to the ignition system on that 782

I'd check the coil on that 782 if I were you

I got the rear lift added on to my 149, and I've added a sleeve hitch since this pic was taken. Hoping to turn some dirt on Saturday!

Off topic a little, how does that sleeve hitch drawbar work for you? I'm about to add a rear lift and sleeve hitch onto my 149, and I was thinking of making one of those. I never had a drawbar when the sleeve hitch was on my 782, so I'm just curious about how well it works

I've seen a guy use woodworking clamps to compress the spring before. A little crude, but I guess it'd work in a pinch
