  1. I was able to work on it some this weekend. Took the linkage off at the transmission and it shifted fine. Had to use a puller to get the high/low range shift lever off the pin. Cleaned it up good and got the rust off. Need to source a couple bushings for the lever.
  2. When it was last used it was shut off in high range and left that way. I did drive it home about 15 miles, ran well but the flat spots in the tires never got worked out, kind of rough when all the flat spots hit the road at the same time. All the sheet metal got taken off, just about every bolt broke off though, got a good power washing. There was a few 5-gallon bucket worths of mice nests neatly tucked in all around the fuel tank and steering column. The front axle tubes were even packed full of nesting material. Didnt find any live critters during cleaning, hopefully they got left on the road somewhere. All the hornets came home though, at least the ones that were in the nest when I left. Haven't had a chance to take any linkage apart yet but just hoping it's just linkage that is rusted up from being in the elements for so long. I did change engine oil and filters before it left the field. Does anyone know where I can find a good wiring diagram, I would at least like to see what works and doesn't before a new harness goes in. The mice did a number on the wires. Serial number 9337.
  3. I rescued this after it has been sitting out in the field for about 8 years. New batteries, starter drive, fresh oil, and some tinkering, it finally breathes again. This is my first hydro. Runs and drives fine but I can't get the shift lever to budge at all from high range. I'm hoping it's just linkage rusted up from sitting in the elements for so long. When I get back out there this weekend with some more tools hopefully, I can figure it out. If not, I can get it back to the shop and dig into it more.
  4. Has anyone else had problems with the ford truck brake module. I was using the trailer last week an got these messages again. It has been replaced 3 times already under warranty. I stopped at the dealer again and the service writer told me I'm out of warranty and I would have to pay this time. I told him it doesn't pay to keep putting in faulty ford parts and I would look for something aftermarket. Then the lady service writer next to him came over, looked at the last time it was replaced and said it was less than a year ago and ford covers parts for a year. So, I take it back on Friday to get replaced again. Is there an aftermarket option?
  5. Sure wish they would offer their shirts in tall sizes. But I must be the only tall person and not enough market them.
  6. Thank you for the info.
  7. My oil pan is bent up quite a bit, and the stay rod must have come loose at some point over the years and wore through. Previous owners welded it up. Would the oil pan be the same as the row crop version. C-169 engine.
  8. I have the under slung and would like to keep it that way. I found that steiner has the manifold and elbow but was looking for the pipe and muffler but cant seem to find it anywhere. Thanks
  9. Where would I find a complete exhaust system for my tractor.
