So the frame on my 2002 Chevy 2500HD is not looking so hot these days and I am wanting to replace it with southern or western rust-free truck. Outside of dealing with some random person through Facebook Marketplace are there any good car lots or auto auction yards that I can search their inventories. For those wanting to know details on my pickup right now I want another early 2000's chevy 2500HD crew cab, gasser 4x4. Don't care if it has 250,000 miles, dents and paint issues just want a beater that is not already starting life off half rotted away.

I also will say you can add a 300 front bolster to an H pretty easy just have to swap out the hand crank starter mechanism.

Put that super H engine in your H you will be much happier. I bought a super H engine and overhauled with domed pistons and over bore to make it a C169 and does extremely well at a plow day in my H. As far as power through the drivetrain I know people out there that are pushing 60HP through a stock H drivetrain in pulling tractors.... a 35HP stout running super H engine will do nothing to that drivetrain to hurt it. If it does there are many many parts rearends floating around to pick from. The other thing with a Super H engine is that you can add a live hydraulic pump to it much easier if you want to do that.

I will be happy to look in the parts book for the mounts you need so you at least have an idea what to make. After mounting a number 5 on a friends B John deere you defiantly want to use the quick attach style.

Looking at getting some new 10.00-16 fronts for our 7740 does anyone have a favorite at this point in time? I always used firestone before but I believe that they are the Regency name now and kind of wonder if they still have the same quality.

On the dry sleeve letter series engines the studs on the manifold side of the block all protrude down through into the water jacket.

Need to use Loctite thread sealant. I made the mistake on my H after I overhauled it and got to pop the head off and seal the studs.

I have my FIL's old 843 corn head which was non oil bath he ran 1,500 acres a year through it and changed the chains every other year. This poor head we estimate has over 40,000 acres on it

A dream tractor would be a 1256 or 1456 done up in Long farms fashion with the addition of a roll bar and canopy.

2002 Chevy 2500HD 6.0 it has 260,oo miles on it now and it is getting rusty enough now with the miles it is time to think about replacing it. I have had it for 10 years and over 100,000 miles and it has never really given me any major issues. hate to see it go.

You will be fine my H I did the same thing and I have had no issues. I have already seen blocks come back from the machine shop that where not perfect.

Those tandem Chamberlains came a long long way to make it to the show!

Earmuffs work well and are pretty cheap and even have a radio.

Funny none of the ones I have ever been around do that, but I suppose I don't keep my foot on the clutch that long either.
