  1. I'm not for sure what year but I'd say you're pretty close. The buildings are still standing and being used. The shop is a church now and the building on the right (parts department) is a thrift store. If you could zoom in the white on the back of that 6-715 combine on the far let shop door that is my dad's white shirt. He liked his white t-shirts lol
  2. Thanks everyone for the response

  9. SO AM I CORRECT IN THINKING THAT FIRST THING TO DO IS TO OPEN THE BUTTLERFLY ALL THE WAY AND THEN ADJUST THE ROD ON THE GOV. ARM SO THAT THE ARM IS ALL THE WAY BACK IN TRAVEL(TOWARDS CARB) AND THEN INSTALL CLEVIS PIN?
  10. BINDEROID SHORT OF WIRING THE GOVERNOR SPRING THAT MAKES SENSE. I APPRECIATE ALL THE HELP FROM ALL WHO COMMENTED!
  11. SNOSHOE DOES THE ARM NEED TO LEAN TOWARD RADIATOR?
  12. BINDEROID NO DYNO JUST ALLOW RPMS UP TO 3,000

  14. I SEEM TO HAVE PLENTY OF THREAD LEFT ON THE GOV. ROD I BELIEVE MOST OF THE PROBLEM IS THE DIFFERENCE IN THE ARM POSITION ON THE CARB
  15. THANKS FOR THE REPLAY SNOSHOE. SO FOR THE RECORD AT IDLE THE GOV. ARM NEEDS TO BE ALL THE WAY FORWARD TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE CORRECT?
  16. Yeah that’s what my 560 had factory. This 301 is out of a 715 combine and was made in 1972 so it’s 13 years newer. I had it running faster last year but I’ve changed a few things over the winter and lost rpms. Last year I was able to adjust the turnbuckle/ rod to get more. However the threads are bottomed now and all I can get is 2400
  17. THANKS FOR THE QUICK REPLY SNOSHOE
  18. THAT WAS ON THE ENGINE WHEN I GOT IT OUT OF THE COMBINE. WILL YOU EXPLAIN MORE PLEASE. I'M NEW TO THESE
