  1. That looks like two sticks up out of the floor. Funny way to shift an auto trans.
  2. In Maine many towns have discontinued maintenance on parts of some town roads or all of some roads. Usually no one lives on these. It takes a vote of the townspeople to resume maintenance or to accept a road as a town road. Sometimes it's just winter maintenance that is discontinued. This can cause a lot of problems when someone builds on one of them.
  3. My Bolens mower decks have a fitting for a garden hose in the top. Turn on water, start mower, run until no grass comes out chute. Works good.
  4. I don't see the left rear tire and wheel ????
  5. My 1945 A has a cast knob also. WW ll production change. Rubber was short.
  6. They came up with something called a beaver deceiver somewhere around here. It's supposed to work good.
  7. Seems like there should be some crocs.
  8. Try the construction forum as TD's are the same. TD9 perhaps.
  9. My plain jane 1970 F150 240 6 and a 3 spd got 20 mpg or better loaded or empty. No power anything. Got a 68 later with 302 and power steering was easier to get around with and faster but down around 16-18 mpg.
  10. That is what I call it as that is what it used to say on the can way back whenever.
  11. The boat is now in position for that.
  12. Not thick enough to take any off and can mess up geometry of clutch release apparatus. I did a Wrangler clutch for a family member a few years ago. The machine shop resurfaced on rotary broach and we shimmed back to original position. Still working good but a replacement stock grade wheel might have been less $$$ or not much more. They can also be done on brake lathes but I'm not sure I'm brave enough for that as I don't know about accuracy. If you are talking aftermarket hi po parts then this advice may not apply.
  13. I don't think they recommend resurfacing those flywheels.
  14. I agree on a front crumple zone but I have seen numerous accidents where a car ran into the rear of a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. The car was demolished and the truck and occupant(s) drove away. With belts in use of course.
  15. I'm guessing the crumple zone is to protect the car that runs into the truck.
  16. "If brains were dynamite he wouldn't have enough to blow his nose."
  17. I have used a on/off electric water heater for s sink for many years. I'm currently on my third one. The rise/gallons thing is anb issue that I work around with a ball valve to adjust the output flow. Full on in the warm weather reduce flow to maintain temp when cold. You may find a gas or fuel oil better suits your needs.
  18. If it ain't broke don't fix it. maybe two rights and a left for a u turn.
  19. I've heard that but it was #iss rather than sand.
  20. The proper lot identification also.
  21. Looks like an upside down boat hull.
