  1. I'd have to volunteer cause my schedule is not fixed.
  2. Should I be looking for a field that already is equipped with an irrigation system?
  3. Just starting out is it better to pay someone to spray your field or buy an old sprayer?
  4. In y'all's opinion where do you get the biggest bang for your buck when it comes to land? To be more specific harvesting grain and perhaps livestock.
  5. Wow that's awesome! Your life sounds pretty busy. What goes into caring for the hogs? A buddy of mine has 10 pigs and has to walk them everyday.
  6. I'm in north Houston, I'm not tied down by anything so I'm really looking to move anywhere. My uncle sold international combines for about 30 years so I've always had appreciation for the red and wanted one.
  7. Sadly not, I don't know much about the ag world and am trying to learn more. I am an airline pilot and am gone about 3 days a week so I'm looking into part time farming. Just trying to get information on how the operation works and if my situation is doable. I have always loved farming and wanted to dive in but never got around to it.
  8. How do you get the education to properly farm grain? Wouldn't it be sketchy to just learn from outside sources
  9. What is the process of selling grain?
  10. Honestly sounds like a lot of fun!
  11. Does it take 4 months to repair equipment?
  12. Y'all are awesome, you've helped me a lot. So what do farmers do in the winters or whenever the plants are already sown?
  13. I'm not looking to make a large profit, I just don't want to get into a money pit. If your equipment/land is paid off, how much net pay are you actually taking home?
