  1. Picked up the backhoe today. Pretty clean overall. Needs to be pressure washed and then I will see what leaks I have to deal with. Everything works though. Tried it out this morning. Only thing I noticed so far is that one of the stabilizers has a slow leak. Bled down on the ride home. Pretty happy overall though.
  2. I am going to get the backhoe tomorrow. I hope it’s not a wasted trip!!! 6.5 hours away!!!
  3. I thought it was a lot too but he won’t come down anymore over the phone.
  4. He told me $3500. Too much?
  5. Thanks. I’m thinking I’m gonna pull the trigger. Here are a couple pics
  6. Thanks for all the info. I’m not real sure how much work I would do with it. Just thought it would be neat to have a backhoe that sort of matched up with my tractor. And I don’t think they are that common. It sure though.
  7. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated
  8. I have a line on a 3082 Series B backhoe. I see also that they made a Series A as well. First off, does anyone know the difference between the two?Secondly does a 544 Utility have enough hydraulic pressure and volume to operate one of these? My 544 is a hydro. Don’t know if that makes a difference in the volume the pump puts out. Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks.
  9. I have a 1969 544 Utility Hydro with a C 200 engine. My cooling fan is a four blade type. All of the parts diagrams I’ve looked at call for a six blade fan for the Hydro. I wasn’t sure since mine was an earlier production 544 if it came stock with a four bladed fan and the change to the six blade came after my tractor was built or did someone replace the fan with the wrong one? Any info would be appreciated.
