  1. Yeah I think I'll just keep an eye on Craigslist and marketplace and maybe find a deal like that only closer...
  2. The engine on the 9 is toast, not sure about the steering clutches and such but it has brand new sprockets and tracks in fact one side was never even put on before the motor went T-U
  3. Maybe a stupid question but is there any way i could modify the td9 track frame to fit the td6? The td6 has great motor otherwise it would have been scrapped years ago, but if it is going to be that difficult to find undercarriage parts for these machines maybe I would just be better off to find an engine for the td9
  4. (Realized I posted this on the wrong board so posting again here...) I have a td6 that has been sitting for years because the tracks are wore out. Track fell off one day, we put it back on and went about 30 feet, fell off again and she hasnt moved since. Now I would like to get it going again and my neighbor has an old td9 that has b-new tracks, idlers and sprockets on it that were put on shortly before the engine went tits up, so can anybody tell me if they are interchangeable? they look the same only the track is longer, thanks

  6. Thanks for the replies, I will give these tricks a try this weekend
  7. thank you, do you know how to figure which one is bad or do I just replace them all?
  8. Knocks and smokes during start-up, sounds like its going to throw a rod until it warms up, which takes a minute or two. Its better when I hold the glow plug for longer and continue to hold it until it stops knocking. I am holding the glow plugs 70+ seconds and continuing to hold it until the button burns my finger but it used to take 30 seconds (in warm weather) and it would start right up. It has B-new glow plugs and they all came out whole so they are not the problem. Any Ideas on what it could be?
