  1. Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it!
  2. I would be afraid the plug might be harder to drill than the actual manifold. Has anyone drilled the plug out?
  3. I just had a major overhaul done on our 1066 and would really like a pyrometer even though I don’t plan on really working this engine too hard. I really don’t want to try to remove the manifold plug that’s never been touched in 44 years. I’m sure it would just break off. I would rather just drill and tap. That’s what I did with my Dodge Cummins and it was easy. would there be anything wrong with drilling and tapping my 1066 manifold?
  4. Thanks for the replies!
  5. Hi, I have a 1066 with approximately 8100 hours that needs an overhaul. The tractor is at my dad’s place in Indianola Iowa. We have a gooseneck trailer so we can transport. I can find a mechanic, but I was wondering if someone could refer me to a trusted mechanic that would like to work on my 1066? I would prefer someone that is familiar with these older internationals. Thanks in advance for any replies.
