  1. My Farmall H’s. A 1951 H and a 1954 Super H. Overlook the John Deere in the picture taken in the barn, but I like John Deere’s as well.
  2. Yes the rod bent a little when pushed. And yes there is a plastic insert that the rod goes thru. The CaseIH dealer was working on the tractor with me in my barn when it broke........thanks for the reply.
  3. Hello. I have a 2015 CaseIH 75C Farmall that I cannot get the hood to release and open. We have been trying everything to get it to release. Long story short, as we were trying to open it we pushed the pushrod on the driver-side that goes to the release latch all the way in and it came off the release latch and fell inside and is now laying under the hood release latch. We then tried running a metal rod through the round hole that once held the pushrod on the driver side trying to get to the latch and “push” the latch open. Still have not got it open. Is there any other way to get to the hood latch release? The only thing that I can come up with is cutting an opening in the metal screen below the hood handle right in front of the hood release to access the hood release latch. I don’t want to do that unless I really need to. Any help guys??? thanks, Bill

  5. Hello guys. Hope that you don’t think this is a stupid question but here goes. Can the tractor serial number (on a Farmall Super H) be different from the engine serial number. On my Super H the tractor serial number is 24,801, tag beside the starter. The engine serial number is 27,819, stamped on the side under cylinder #3. Which is 3,000 higher then the tractor serial number. The casting dates vary from 2-10-Z to 3-2-Z. What do you think? Thanks, Bill
  6. Got the manifold fixed and there is no whistling is no longer. Thanks guys!!!
  7. I was working on the H today and I think that the noise is coming from the manifold. I found a small crack in the manifold. Just a little hard to pinpoint the noise. If it’s the manifold what would be the best fix?
  8. Please keep the suggestions coming guys. Thanks, Bill
  9. Thanks Stoney, I’ll try some spray and see what happens.
  10. Hello. My 51 Farmall H has a high pitched squeal when the motor is warm. When you accelerate the noise stops (as long as the throttle is moving). The carburetor, manifold, everything was moved when the tractor was painted. I checked the carburetor gasket, manifold, everything I could think of and could not nail down a leak. Any ideas on what could be causing the air like sound? Thanks for any suggestions.
  11. Thank you. Very nice looking H. Your dad should be proud to set on that tractor. I really like how the H’s ride and steer and just their overall size. My looks good right now but I think that it needs a little work and a new paint job as well. Here is a picture of two of my tractors including the H that needs just a little work. Took both for a ride today. I sent you another message regarding contacting the individual. Thanks again, Bill
  12. I have a 1951 Farmall H that I would like to have restored, any mechanical issues fixed as well as a new paint job. I don’t have the means to do the job myself, so I guess it will be time to sweet talk the misses. I live in central Ohio. Does anyone know of and recommend any shops in Ohio that can be trusted to do the job right? Thanks for any help. Bill
