  1. got 2 1978 F250 4x4 bough new off the lot wen I was dating my wife 1977 F150 seen it going threw the parking lot [with the for sale sign in the back window] wile my wife was in shopping do I chase it down or wait for wife ???? waited for her and told her about the truck she said its at the bar in the next town and lets check it out ended up buying it and working on restoring it soon Mike

  4. still its tough to loose people from the 60s and 70s makes you think a lot on how short life is Mike
  5. on my 20v Dewalt chargers have a battery temp sensor that lets you know if the battery is too hot or too cold to charge no problems so far more concerned about this lap top i am using now dang thing has a hand warmer on the left side[cooling fan exhaust] gets really hot and I don't leave it plugged in wen not in use Mike
  6. as long as you have 80% you will be fine what jeeper said does happen to older tank installs if the tank is totally empty new install's are required to be anchored did the installers get a permit or was it done ''under cover''[no permit] before it was backfield it should have been looked at Mike
  7. also how full is the tank.... cant read the gauge in your picture
  8. wen installed was there anchor straps installed around the tank and screw anchors put in to the ground? Mike
  9. one of the other members here said to cut the Rustoleum with acetone tried it on a small project and it worked out great no runs on the metal really nice finish Mike
  10. the only issue is the main timbers are a little rough and should have been replaced to be used we had to chain it in place so the foot ball team would not roll it down hill and in to the woods Mike

Its snowmobile season here in the Keweenaw, come up and enjoy the snow. just remember in a trail crash the tree always win so far before the new year there has been 3 fatal crashes in the western UP the latest a 13 yr old girl in southern Houghton Co. on Saturday again come up the trails are great, snow pack on the lower level of the lift bridge for snowmobile traffic Mike
  13. got a guy in town re-roofing his house 12/12 pitch he is using ''fall protection'' but its anchored to top of the chimney [same design] if he goes down it will slow him down but in the end he will be under a big pile of bricks Mike

  15. ya wile I was in the shop getting the IH started the oshkosh driver went by at about 45-50 mph with the v blade and 12' wing plow down all you could see was the yellow beney sticking above the snow cloud going down the road Mike
  16. just got done digging out well path ways any wayse have to dig the jeep out yet[snow level with roof] 3-6 feet of snow yesterday it was soft so you would sink with snow shoes on today hard packed and the blower let you know it Mike

  19. Ya the M is a great tractor we are feeding green chop hay to our pigs they really like the short cut over full length hay Mike
  20. wen dad was the foreman with the DPW they had an old IH pick up truck [the green hornet] that would always start no matter the temp get the 20' chain out and tow the back hoe to start it then it would start the dump trucks then the road grader and end loader and so on as for the snow here we got several 6' drifts to get threw to get the IH out of the shop the snow got hard in the drifts, ,tough going on foot the pigs got hot porage this am so they are happy called into church and canceled the security team for tonight's Christmas eve service [they haven't canceled the service yet] so tomorrow after the storm is over its snow moving time but no worries we have a IH on a Keweenaw pig farm. We put a coolant heater in the 185 IH snow removal tractor before it was installed the engine would struggle to start,, several battery charges and booster to turn it over now 3 revelutions and we are going with only 2 hrs warm up Mike we are snowed in till the storm stops tonight at dark 2-5 Feet of snow on the ground not looking forward to tomorrow AM and feeding [might have to tunnel ] the snow is fluffy dry and you sink all the way to the ground
  22. either go out and take care of the pigs or they bust out and come up to the house and then you have to round them up and fix the pens at least ours are winter hearty Mike
