At the sale tonight. The 5288 was 16500 , 2096 was 21000, they called the M a super M . They never said it had the sleeves but must have 3200, the better f11 on the M was 3700, and the beat up loader one was 2100. Everything ran really nice and appeared very well taken care of. Prices I believe we’re pretty much right on but I am hard of hearing so could be a little off,

Yes . Just a situation of spreading Costs out. I’m pretty cheap and hate to part with to much at one time. Not that money grows on trees at my place. I bought half the material that I was gonna put up and then get someone to do the roof. But it has been a busy Spring and I’m ready to just get it up. It will be in a protected area so not to worried about the weather.

Field ready, it’s sitting out in the field

I bought the stuff to put up walls for a 40x64 pole barn with a door on the end at 22ft wide . My neighbor is looking at giving me a bid to put this part up. I will worry about the roof this fall. Kinda backwards but it’s the way we’re doing it . Just curious what you guys think is a fair price? In my own mind I think it would take 3 guys 3 to 4 ten hour days. At roughly 50 to 60 dollars per hour for each guy. Is this way off ? Just curious ?

Have to agree with searcy, grabbed it to pound a stake for the wife and missed right away. Cussed and looked at the hammer 🔨 and wondered what the heck is this for

Always enjoyed him. Saw him live a couple of times. I have his first book . I think it’s called Get in the pickup. Referencing his cattle dog . I think another early one , Roper ,Rider and a heck of a windmill man. I could see myself in many of the subjects he wrote about.

That is a really nice older tractor. Good luck with it -
Yes , it is a 856. The front end is a factory adjustable one . I’ve only saw one other although some on here have said there more common than u think. It’s a good tractor

Got the crop in the other day . The ground was really powdery after disking. Hard to get footing with a full drill, need to get bigger tires. Finally used the 52. It did a good job but has quite a little blow by

I’ve been to a lot of sales in these parts. Not sure I’ve ever saw a 50 series tractor a 1486 and a cub lowboy much less all three on the same sale. Pretty rare tractors for these parts

I went to bid on the 5288, I was willing to go about 12. I still think it was a good buy for someone. The weights were worth $800 and new tires. , another $2000 ? I bid up to $5000 on a rough looking but good running 4010. It went for 51 or 5200. I think the guy that bought the 154 paid to much and his wife was definitely pissed. She was kinda cute standing in the rain all day.

Watched these sell on Sunday. The 1486 went for about $8100, the 52 for $14500 , and the 154 for $3000. They also had a FWA 8940 with 1900 hrs and Miller loader for $50 or 51000. They said the 52 had about $12000 stuck in the rear end a few years ago. Tractor had about 9000 hours. I thought it was a very tractor,

Your correct the later ones had different seals , I got some 1 time from Cat. Seems like a agco had bought the line up

Not much to tell. Pull the lever back and it goes up. Push it ahead and it goes down. 🙁 sorry couldn’t resist. I think the breakout force is either 3500 or 4200 hundred pounds . You have a heck of a good outfit.
