    Fire

My big advantage is there are very few people to cause fire around here that are upwind so it mostly lightening fires. That being said there is one fire engine crew on standby for the entire county if not more area...

    Fire

Local fire was 400 acres this morning...nobody was really sure how big it was before the cold front with 50 mph wind hit. Fire dept had bought out it's small town of water... It got our they needed more water so I brought some down between myself and some others we brought them 40 cases and 100 grab and go food items... I was not the only donor people were dropping of the one or two cases they kept at home. It's as smoky as ive ever seen...nothing close to me yet...but one spark.... It's rough country too...
  4. Haven't yet but, id like to get a 35k 40 foot trailer and will with that... If I look farmer enough I can fly under the radar but vehicle adds look good and flag you with dot... Also why I want to get in before I need the class...
  5. Opposite opinion sell it for barnwood or to someone who wants a old barn for a house and biuld a pole barn in its place... I'd bet it's handier and the same or less cost. But only if your function over form guy...
  6. I dont mind the written air brake test part... Im a really good test taker.... I just dont have the air brake rig to cdl test in. I don't ever see myself needing to tow more than my 5500 can @35000 lb. At least not anywhere dot would see anyways...
  7. Need interstate and commercial Ag exempt for farmers not farm service....
  8. Annoying cause I don't need air brake...
  9. At this point if I ever drove a air brake it would be ag exempt....

  12. There are alot of folks here who are looking long distance for hay.... I know folks whos ditches are out of water now instead of October I'd certified funds or maybe escrow with a banker....
  13. Is there any thing that smells better than rain when your In severe drought. I never thought .005 of rain at home would smell so good 3 miles south east got a little over a tenth. We are the high lighted county....
  14. Drought.... Never needed to mow...just hacked off the top inch once this year

  20. Makes sense on the one ton... But would when i was looking at new trucks the bed delete only saved 400 dollars....and you lost the spare.... Could you get a bed and sell as a new take off but brand new pristine beds are not cheap. Just throwing out ideas...
  21. For what it's worth I've seen videos of the gas dodges being underpowered as a fire trucks. Why not a 4500 or 5500 they do turn sharper...and haul more as well? I love my 5500 ram diesel cab and chassis...
  22. Id say 4 k is good check for frame cracks and broken welds rv frame factory theory on Welding is why weld it right when you can weld it out... When i worked at one it was .35 wire at 675 inches a minute and useually 28 volts mig. Crazy...the wire was in 55 gallon drums.... We would burn 25lb in 8 hours...
