  1. My 11 year old who has cerebral palsy is always grumpy towards night time, he never wants hugs or snuggle time once he decides to go to sleep. Normall he dose not like the dogs we get, in fact we went through 4 dogs that we got rid of because he didn't like the,. We just bought a new dog, half German sheperd amd half great pyrenees and these 2 just clicked right away, even snuggling for night time. He has been smiling more and being way more happy since we got it. This dog was a Godsend for him.

He was sick of the world; of Covid-19, Brexit, Russian belligerence, China, global warming, ethnic tensions, and the rest of the disturbing stories that occupy media headlines. Brad drove his car into his garage and then sealed every doorway and window as best he could. He got back into his car and wound down all the windows, selected his favorite radio station, started the car and revved it to a slow idle. Two days later, a worried neighbor peered through his garage window and saw him in the car. She notified the emergenc

  5. On December 28th, 2019, I finally was able to bring back a 1256 to the farm. The 1256 that dad had was sold in 1986 and is currently being used locally. Lots of memories on the fender of a 1256. Dad knew of this 1256 so after a few years was able to get it bought. I am now the 3rd owner. The tractor sat for a long time - some figure 25 years+. Most would say it was not worth saving but a 1256 was on my bucket list and this made it even more of a challenge, yet appreciate the final project even more. Every piece of tin and parts were removed and glass beaded. Dad ppp(glass beading) and

This was one for me. “Cody Green was a 12-year kid in Indiana who was diagnosed with leukemia at 22 months old. 8. Linda's FB post from May 1: 40 years ago, Bill and I bought the farm. Literally. (Not figuratively, yet, by the grace of God.) We raised our kids here. Started over after our dairy barn (the one in this photo) burned to the ground. Survived cancer, a nearly fatal chopper accident, and various other injuries and illnesses. We've had some profitable years and some years when, in effect, Bill paid thousands of dollars for the privilege of working 70 hour weeks in all weathers to produce food for other people. She called me asked if I was stopping to get her for chores so she could help build a pen an move the new calves. After we got that done we had to fill water tub an she went an grabbed these 2 buckets an filled ( half full) by herself an said “ Look Pap! I have buckets like you!” She fills my heart

  16. Bought this 856 3 years ago and wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with it. It had a Westendorff loader on it that I immediately got rid of. came with wide front and 18.4x 34 rears. Tach shows 6xxx hours on a working tach but seller said it had rolled over. So thinking it has over 16000 hours. It has an IH turbo and manifold off a TD 15 dozer we think. It dynos out at 135. Spring of 2018 I plowed 300 acres with a 5/16 510 plow and it pulled like a new tractor and only used 1 quart of oil and used 5.6 gallon of fuel per hour. Had a few oil leaks that we fixed before painting. Local

  17. Left to right: 856, 1256, and 1026 Goldy 856 by itself. Purchased unrestored from original owner. He said tach has rolled over once so it has just over 16,000 hours on it. Motor has been overhauled several times. Don't know about the rest of it but I plowed 300 acres with it 2 years ago and it used 1 quart of oil and runs like a scalded rabbit. Pulls 140 on the dyno. jerry

I like all the farm pictures that are shared here of all the classic IH machines. So here is a little bit of our farm simply for viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

  24. Got to meet our newest grandson in person last week for the first time. Here's a pic of our first handshake. He was delivered a month before his due date via C-section. Our middle daughter turned 40 last September, and this little guy was a delightful surprise for all of us. Grandma's having a ball getting to look after him once in a while so momma can do a few things around the house. In some states, he could have been "terminated" due to his inconvenient timing. No other comment necessary.

Probably would've gotten more cutting them into firewood and selling them that way. Pulled it to the steep hill out of the woods. Had to buck it to get it out. Scaled about 250 board feet in that log March was dry and warm beginning of April was nice. Feeding good third cutting haylage out of one end and corn silage from the other How I haul sawdust. Lucky to have two mills close by Had more snow in April than March. April 17th

I'm sick of BLM/covid/politicians/riots/welfare bums/entitlements and all the paranoid people in this country. We kill thousands upon thousands of babies and abduct and abuse alter boys/ boy scouts and sex traffic children and I'm supposed to give a $hit about BLM? Absolutely pathetic group of whining lazy leeches. Next I'll share my true feelings. Say good night Dick...

On behalf of Randy's wife Judy, and his children Sari and Mike, and all of us in the family, I just want to say that the outpouring of love and respect for him from so many of you here is so heartwarming. Thank you for that. It means so much to us. Randy's obituary will be in the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the St. Paul Pioneer Press in the next couple of days. The Star Tribune is also working on a feature story about his life. I will keep you posted

  33. Just thought I'd share this. Found it today while cleaning. My great grandmother was a quilter. Made all kinds of quilts, blankets, throws and knit and crochet blankets. We always had a quilt on our bed that grandma made. When I was young, and my parents were still adding to our family, my next youngest brother and I began sharing a room, which got more crowded as they kept adding kids, lol. Anyway, grandma made us matching quilts and curtains for the room. When another brother moved in, she made another quilt that was farm themed and similar, but different from the first two. Da

I worked night shift through the weekend so when I got up this morning to be off for a day I decided to clear a small trail in the woods with enough room to camp and introduce my 3.5 yr old to the woods. Cleared off enough room to get through and raked the debris back. Made a small fire to cook on and got out some cast iron. Going to have beef and barley stew in a little bit.

He doesn`t want to leave the dog alone. He asks me what to do and says his cell signal is weak. I call our local shelter and they give me the number of a gal who reported she lost a basset but MANY miles away from where dog is. I call and gal answers. Ask her for description and dogs name. My father is always commenting on how every obituary paints every person out to be a saint. “Salt of he earth, give you the shirt off his back, knit sweaters for homeless turtles and rescued kittens from mine shafts on his way to volunteer at the homeless shelter. Loved by one and all” I got into it with my MIL about George Floyd the other day, that a royal A-hole has been made a martyr by the whole country. But it brings up a point hat I have been arguing for years, I get crap for being flippant and irreverent about death, but dead is dead, and there’s no point using hushed voices about

It is indeed a very exciting program, and I’ll explain it by using a Q&A format: Q: What is an Economic Stimulus payment? A: It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers. Q: Where will the government get this money? A: From taxpayers. Q: So, the government is giving me back my own money? A: Only a smidgen of it. Q: What is the purpose of this payment? A: The plan is for you to use the money t

Mr Chagnon took over the dealership after his fathers passing in 1977 and operated it through the Case/IH merger, selling to retire in 2002. He has gathered a beautiful collection of IH tractors as well as a few trucks, and some other nostalgic items. The entire collection is housed in a beautiful modern building, lots of good light and easy to walk through. I felt it was important to honour the great work he has accom

  45. This has been coming for a couple years now. Bad knees, back and shoulder has made installing DewEze bale beds increasingly more difficult for me. Taking care of the ranch during the day and driving truck at night is using up a large chunk of my 24. It got to the point I dreaded selling a bed because I knew I would have to install it. That isn't fair to a company that has treated me like family for 27 years. As my wife would say I finally "threw my hat over the fence" and told my rep last Friday I would be retiring from DewEze. Today was a day I wasn't looking forwa

  46. The 856 I grew up on was sold on our realignment farm sale back in February of 1999. I put a lot of hours on that tractor, and for some reason, this 856 had snort!! Since the day it left, I’ve missed it! Had a chance 3 years ago to buy it back from another farm sale, but couldn’t get there. Then, this past September I got a phone call to haul grain for a new customer, and the first morning I pulled on his yard, I spotted something, yep, our 856!! I didn’t want to get to nosy until I got to know the guy. Well day number 3 of hauling, he finally asked me why I kept looking at the 856?! I just
