I cant remember if there has ever been a thread for pictures of cattle but I think there ought to be. I dont have many on my phone but I'll throw up what I do have. First one is my prize red heifer out of one of my favorite cows. Getting some of the replacement heifers cake broke and gentled. First calf of the year last fall. Gathering to wean last spring. I'll try to remember to get some more pictures when working cows but its usually one of the last things in my mind.1 point

I thought about covering the road with a bale of hay. When I tried last night I was picking grass and putting it in the road. I tried to let her get used to it but instead of a car coming a young lady on a nervous horse showed up. I’ll try again this weekend or put a hamburger cow in with her.1 point

I unroll a bale of hay on our wood bridge. Lead them with cake pickup. Then take it off after.1 point

What a land of extremes. Broke some record high temps here yesterday and in the 80s again today. Yet possible snow coming Friday. Wild and windy all day and it turned to a real thunderstorm in later afternoon. Only a light shower here but looked more to the South. It was enough to shut me down early as the straw got tough and would not spread well. Wheats all seeded and one field of canola. Still got a ways to go.1 point

That's a new one, I was expecting black top. Have had number of times they don't want to step out on the blacktop. I have to cross the blacktop 2 to 4 times a year. Have seen cows that never gave any trouble just not want to do it. Put her in a trailer and haul her, but then you need to get her back.1 point

https://farmpartsstore.com/joystick-5020331/ Take the wires from that switch and wire it into a real joystick? Idk why it wouldn’t work? You would have to build a mount but IF you could do this you’ll save a pile of money! I’m going to pm you my address and you can send some of that money my way!1 point

Mike - the top one is a AB160 owned by L G Price over in Blenheim. I've stood by and admired this vehicle at Crankup Edendale several times. It's a good tidy example of that era1 point

Hammer---- I always thought of a W-450 being the ideal tractor for Hammer, Jr. to grow up on. Please explain to th missus that you are only looking after Hammer, Jr.'s best interest. Time is passing by-------he will probably be shaving in a year or so-----and looking forward to planting his own cotton crop!!!! ?? DD1 point

Thanks gives me confidence on the old 392. I would prefer a four barrel , however , we are trying to keep this on propane as original so it looks like May end up with two barrel . tony1 point

Our first calf born on our place last October. It was a long time coming starting from scratch but things are coming together. Neighbors cows that I take care of as well as my heifers enjoying last weeks polar vortex. Last calf out of my heifers. Momma wasn't to keen on nursing but she came around now she is a great mother. Heifers with our little girl shortly after we bought them. 700 bred cows we trailed 15 miles to calving pasture when I worked on a Ranch in Nebraska. That's me on the palomino.
