  1. Gonna spend some time tomorrow cleaning this girl up. Hasn’t been used much for a decade and it’s hard to believe how much it’s deteriorating just sitting in the shed. 4100 hours. Runs and drive like a new one. Charged the air and it worked great. New flor mat and I should get a new dash cover. One thing at a time!

  2. I joined this forum July of 2007. Was new to forums ,computers, and red tractor restoration. I have to come to believed this forum for the most part is a class act. I have learned so much and met so many good people here. Albeit , I must say in early days there were many names here that no longer frequent much , they got frustrated and moved on to the FB ,IH groups. I have attended Red Power Round ups and tried to meet as many as possible on this forum, B.J. Kline, IMHO,does a great job of monitoring the forum and of getting guys together at RPRU's

  3. Ironically-------the guy holding the baby down with his knee looks very similar Kapernick. Kapernick is not exactly white------this basturd does not look white either. The arms on woman holding the baby's arms behind her appear to be black. Who has the scoop on the whole story-------where did this happen??? I don't know much about photo shopping and my edition of the picture is really not that clear??? Could this possibly be a staged photo shot so to stir up more animosity an trouble on the streets. Kneeling is Kapernick's "game"???. I don't trust anybody anymore. H

  4. how many forum members does it take to change a lightbulb? 1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed 14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently 1 to move it to the Lighting section after 2 have argued to move it to the Electricals section 7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs 5 to flame the spell checkers 6 to argue over whether it’s “lightbulb” or “light bulb” … another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid 2 industry profess

  5. Been awhile since I put up some pulling tractors but here are some of my best pics of the 60s and 70s pulling action. The first picture is at Louisville and that Charles Outland from here in Kentucky, Murray, Ky to be exact and he was one of the first Prostockers and I saw him pull against River Rat and Tinker or the father and son John Deere prostockers at the Russell Co. Fair about 15 miles east of me back in the late ninties. That first 966 with the tricycle frontend is Stan Gotl from Nebraska and he later on bought a new 986 with ROPS and pulled it, he took the canopy off of it but still

Gary and I are only wasting some of our valuable Blue Smoke on the hat discussion (well----so far???)😏 The rioters are destroying $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ worth of real property and time every night. Just watching the news on what happened in Portland last night. Then the news on the guy holding a baby down by placing his knee on the baby's neck. Doesn't matter who is what with the baby or what color the baby is------that is atrocious. (spelling?) Burns my a$$ to no end--------sure is good to be able st

  8. But....if masks are the be all to end all, and you’re wearing one, then how am I going to “kill you” if I don’t? Everywhere I go while on vacation I have been putting on my face condom just because. I think it’s stupid and not effective but my family is wearing one so I’ll bite my tongue and wear one in their presence. My trust in the scientists, and government officials, aka experts is completely eroded away with COVID reporting that has to be edited and modified after being released because the reports were falsified and or fabricated. If you want people to trust then don’t release

  13. It wasn't wrenches but in June of 16 it just was not working out. I fired my grandson after he didn't want to do things my way on the farming, 2 days later i got hailed out on 1 farm and since i had other farms that didn't get hail i got no insurance, Then a no-rain bill from crop insurance company for $40,000 a few days later. I decided i had had enough after starting in 1970 when dad passed away. That fall i sold one farm, turned a rented one back and leased the other one. Started selling my machinery privately and then ended up putting the tail end of it on BigIron and then was hired on by

Not sure I joined as early as Mike but probably not that long after and used to have a blast with all the guys on the construction side, getting carried away many times, sometimes playing the instigator sometimes a mediator but made many friends both online and in person still going 15 yrs later, the people on this site are top shelf, there are some other good sites also but this is my favourite and it's really it's membership. I do hear you on some other sites, cyber world allows some narcissistic blowholes tell you how stupid you are and how great and revered they are with their tight

  17. I bought two canopy assemblies about 15 years ago from a member of RedPower, 756Man, Mark Mathis from Missouri. He was at the The Southeast Old Threshers Reunion at Denton, NC. He was having them built near him. Below is his original advertisement for the canopies and his parts business. Also pictures of canopies on my tractors, parts book page for IH ROPS and a brochure picture of a 1066 equipped with ROPS . I prefer my fenders to be mounted as wide as possible , so I mounted them as seen in pictures instead of bolting them to the "ROPS" frame uprights. There are four bolts , 7/8 inch dia

And I'm betting the people telling me on here to wear a mask don't do it during the flu season. I mean if you're so concerned why wouldn't you wear one all the time.

  20. I don't understand the concept of "at some time we have to quit and go home". I am the same person I first discovered when I fixed my first bicycle or put the first handle in the hammer that Grandma gave me for my 8'th birthday. It was a black smith hammer that Grand pa once used. I have been fixin since the early 50's, and fully intend to fix until my body fails me to the point that I am no longer capable. Life is too short than to waste a single moment thinking of what could have been or where the nearest fishing hole or golf course is. Be an active participant in something worthwhile to

  21. 50 years for me, this will be the last except for my ih stuff and will continue doing a/c, body has held up very well but seems i get tired sooner and am losing the desire to repair things for customers, kind of enjoy the kids and grandkids more and more and just taking of with the missus when we feel like it. i think as a person who has done this all their lives you will never really quit until the good Lord calls you home as there will always be things to tinker with. to my fellow technicians enjoy your retirement from the rat race.

I’m trying to sort out some issues am having with steering, I explained how I was set up, next thing I know I’ve got some Jack wad getting up in my grill for the brand accessory I was using. Well I didn’t have issues with it until recently and was very happy with them. 24. Classic car and truck forums seem to be the worst. You get someone new that is excited and you have a couple guys that feel like they were awarded a presidential commendation for excellence or something and tear people's heads off. They forget that just because some of us have been involved for decades, still lots of people experiencing it for the first time. Sometimes there are guys that are just rough around the edges and they come off crass. However, most just want to feel special or important or maybe assert their dominance. Either way it ruins fun for a lot of people. And for me the "use

According to the police report the mother was unaware of the events until the cops were arresting the animal in question. According to the news he is a felon and on probation. Now as far as racism? Almost everyone I know is somewhat racist. You yourself differentiate between friends. "I have some black friends". Without realizing it that in itself is a racist statement. Look at a crowd of people. Again most people see whites, blacks, Hispanic and others when they actually look a

  26. COOL! I'm assuming that is a working thresher, that the owner used in "threshermans reunions". These are obviously worth more as "history" then an actual "working farm machine". What I mean is if I was looking to buy a combine, I'd be looking at the condition of the rasp bars, augers, hours, etc. This unit, I'd be happy to find it complete and in running condition....its not going to run 1000 hours this fall! Check the tinwork that it does not have big holes in, or rusted out. Pretty much all I'd care about on one of these. Nearly everything else could be fixed with basic shop tools.

My sister is a nurse, that is what she said................with all the elective surgeries stopped for a period of time after the lock down, the rural hospitals are grasping for straws to keep things going. With that said, I knew a few people in late December and early January that had the signs, and were tested and spots on the lungs were found, doctors here assumed it was cancer and scheduled more tests but they ended up dieing days later from pneumonia...............Did they have it? Probably will never know, but it sounds fishy????? Knew 2 and the room mates in the hospital also later p

  36. More people died in car crashes last year, have you parked your car yet? You would have a better chance of dieing from driving. You cannot legislate to people because of what could happen, that is why guns are legal (you could shoot someone with it), but murder isn't (you just did kill someone).

  43. But you touch your mask when you put it on and off so whatever you're expelling on that mask is on your hands. Yeah ideally you wash your hands each time but in real life circumstances. Who is doing that? You are hitting multiple places, you put your snot rag on before you enter. Do they wash their hands before they put their hands on the door. I bet good money no. Id be surprised if they get washed unless they use the bathroom. You leave establishment you take it off. Repeat process. All your really doing is creating a germ pool to touch , not to mention how many people play with them

  44. Apparently some folks don't think COVID19 is real perhaps because they don't personally know someone who has gotten sick/died. The mask requirements generally are only in stores or crowded public places and are really a minor inconvenience. In a world-wide operation the changes are so rapid it's almost impossible to keep up. It's tough to keep up domestically as states change rapidly. Our neighbor, Maine, for instance, welcomes NH and VT residents but requires others to self quarantine 14 days which all the weekend MA, NY, CT, etc disregard. We use this company to support our flight
