  2. Some of you may remember me buying a 1486 end of March Well, I was moving an old pickup out of the way today so I can get trucks in to the loading chute tomorrow. Saw this on the back, LOL, I used to pick my plates to be old Winchester lever action numbers. 1886, 1873, 1892 etc. Not sure why I picked this number, didn't even remember I had it. Last licensed in '09 ???? Oh, and by the way I pulled the old ford to its final resting place with the 1486, didn't see the plate till I walked around back. Really love that tractor?

  3. Nice tribute post for Memorial Day Gary. **** I stumbled upon these pictures today of my 1943 model TD-14 with my homemade 3 pt hitch pulling a 6 row hipper in 1973. The old crawler was a life saver due to soft ground from seep water from the Mississippi River. That is my son Reb riding shotgun-----must have been coming up on 3 yrs old at the time. He would ride with until his mama would come drag him home. Those dozer cylinders and trunions were just hanging out there needing to be used--------so I made up a U-bar and lifted it with cable

  7. Good Morning Mike, Baaaah who needs brakes, they are overrated LOL - I grew up working for farmers with N series ford tractors, the best brakes on them were marginal when u had something behind u. Most didnt work much. It makes u a better driver to have to plan ahead and anticipate all the dangers or excitement you might get yourself into. I dont think i even have ONE picture of all the trapping i did - mom hated my mess, dad never said a word about it, i had a corner of the basement to function in about 10 foot square. We lived in a manufactured house ( double wide ). I had a couple ro

  8. More from Red Neck Engineering and Fabrication------1980+/- : Homemade 60 ft land plane-----pulled by 1805 M-F. Enough weight and rigidity to cut off small knots that other land planes rode over. Weighed approximately 14,000 lbs-------had approximately 350 + lbs of welding rod in it. (where was Finney when I needed him?) Angle of blades and cutting edge were set based on a parabolic design so to make the dirt roll. Took much less power to roll the dirt rather than drag it along as other conventional land planes. I consulted with Dr. Gordon Tupper at the Delta

He is a gem of a little dog, he loves me and everyone loves him. I finished rolling today I put in 133 hours in 14 days.

  12. sounds to me like a stuck intravance in the injection pump. If start fuel device was stuck in, it would not smoke at part throttle. The stop plate only comes in to play when either under a good load, or slamming throttle open from an idle, which essentially applies a load. You may get it to free up by revving the engine up from an idle a few times, and back down. Make sure it has good oil pressure, those pumps need oil pressure to actuate the intravance.

  14. Trump may not be smooth enough, grease his words enough. He says things that my mother would tell me "you can think but you can't say". But the last 4 years he has directed the country,in my opinion, what was best for USA.He didn't have to be President. No other President in history has been under more constant attack from the media, rival politicians then him.Absolutely no other President's family been attacked, mocked, ridiculed more the his.Could you imagine the outcry if Obama's family was attacked like his? I look at it like a business decision, personal things aside. Is the USA better off then it

Myself I cannot day how I feel about it because each situation makes me feel differently for me to try to apply a yes or no on abortion is like try to say everyone should be wearing size 11 medium hiking boots with arch support. Just cause they work for me, doesn’t mean it works for anyone else. Again, I ride the fence.

If the liberal side here has it's way guilty or innocent if they think it will help them they will gladly through the cops under a bus. I want body cams that show if he was resisting or not.If not? The cops should be prosecuted! If he was? Then were they justified in the response? Thing is, the Twin Cities area and surrounding communities have been controlled by the liberals for a long time. Son if that's the case how did something l

  31. Finally heard from the mechanic today. Had an injector messed up, and he said it looks like they were all recently replaced. He said otherwise it appears all stock just like it came from Ford. He got it running with a different injector and said it seemed to run ok, but exhaust was full of diesel so he was going to let it run for an couple hours to burn it all out. We discussed my plans for the truck and the condition it is in. He talked me into letting him pull the heads send them to the machine shop to be checked and having it studded while he has it. I hated to spend the extra d

This was actually one of the groups I joined that really taught you some life skills, sure sports has it benefits but I have reflected that scouting was the best experience for a wide array of lessons. We must have been getting a bit older maybe 14 and they planned to go up to northeastern Alberta for an ice fishing weekend and had booked some big bunkhouse for us, Sat evening roles around and the leader and assistant decide they are going to go to the local bar for a few and a break, we backed off all the bolts holding their beds together but 1/2 a thread holding on, later we saw headlig

We are so blessed to live in America and it's still the greatest country on earth. I just pray we can keep it that way. Gary

  45. I'm guessing just about every North American manufacturer that worked with Raba as a supplier had issues with quality control over there...certainly Steiger and CaseIH did back in the day. To put it succinctly, Raba was like every other manufacturer from the Eastern bloc/Communist countries from that time......quantity came first, while quality came a distant second. Used to deal with 598 Raba axles on the last green Steigers as well as the 91/9200 series CaseIH Steigers. Raba axles were the only product I can remember wearing out a set of special tools for them just because we did so many....
