  2. Built a new house two years ago and installed standing rib steel. Wife and I both agreed on steel she picked the color. Was more money than shingles but longevity was primary goal. Should last 40-50 years or longer but will more interested how much it fade. Had two bids same brand material but $6500. difference in quotes. Amish bid was highest. Guy that installed it did a excellent job.

  3. This weekend August 16 to 18 , the Ontario IH Collectors Club Show takes place hosted by the Bruce County Heritage Show, just south of Paisley Ontario, Canada. If your within driving distance be sure to check it out. The pictures are taken on the 15th the day prior to the opening as the early exhibitors were arriving.

  5. "Just like a library burning to the ground".... what an eloquent way to state what is such a truth in life. No matter how much we try to soak in from those older and wiser than us, there is still so much lost when they pass. I have several books by Mr. Wendel, as well, I can only imagine how many hundreds of times I leafed through the pages of "150 Years of International Harvester"

  10. The show grounds was a US Air Force Base. Very large show with all colors represented. Widely known for being a working show. There will be plowing going on with everything from horses to steam traction engines to one off large machines like “Earthquake” (large machine like Big Bud). Normally there is corn picking and antique combines cutting beans. Food vendors, parts vendors, toy vendors, etc. The shear number of people is staggering. In 2017 I overheard one of the helpers say there were 100,000 golf carts and side by sides there. It is hectic but also the only place I know of where such a t

  11. It would appear that Trump learned well from his predecessors. He might even be beating them at their own game. Your umbrage with the Democrats sounds kind of odd considering Trump was a Democrat most of his life and now seems act more as an old school Democrat than anything else.

  12. The idiot in North Philly who wounded 6 cops had a rap sheet longer than your arm. His last felonies were dismissed by the prosecutor. If he would have been in jail, where he belonged, no one would have been shot and this would not have happened. We don't have a gun problem, we have a lack of prison bed space problem with an overloaded criminal justice system.. You cannot leave these violent criminals on the street and expect peace. Their life is drugs, booze, women/men, boys/girls, gangs and violence. Only a politician believes a new gun law will help stop these

  13. Dales idea is a good one. It's your tractor, do as you please. J-Mech our friend, you have much skill and knowledge. Don't understand why giving tech advice isn't enough. Why must it be tech advice then a wad of spit in the face. I know this type of response is popular but it's not necessary.

  14. Thing is if you read the 4473 form the federal laws already in place make it illegal for 90 percent of the people who would use guns for harm to own them. It’s the coddling and hand holding and the attitudes that criminals have more rights than law abiding citizens that are the problem IMO

  23. Fixed that for you. I'm not for cruel and inhumane treatment of inmates but for these killers public hanging seems like a decent option as we know exactly who did it. There's no wrongful conviction in most of these cases.

  27. No, I don't have a problem with all democrats. I do however have a problem with both billy boy and broomhillary and obozo. If you bother to go and look at things I said in the past I almost always talk about the Carter/Reagan recession. Even though the economy crashed under Jimmy's watch. Do I think Carter was a good president? No. But he wasn't fully responsible for the recession. Things happened there no one could control. Trump may have been registered as a democrat but action speak louder than words. And his actions don't show him to be a democrat. Maybe an old school democrat. And I

  32. Check the tag above the steering wheel and the engine tag on the left side near the distributor. Should be able to tell if TE or TO. Smells of TO to me. The two handles below the dash are the ejector seat releases. They MUST be pulled at exactly the same time in order to release the chute for landing.

  33. What was the cost of a 560 vs a D9? I suspect it was utterly impossible for the average 560 buyer to buy a D9 or a TD25 for that matter.

  34. Smaller is your friend with clay soil and hills. 12' IH chisel and a 14' IH 470 disc here with the old 1066, then later the 5088. Both had duals and would still get stuck if it was anywhere close to wet.... I bought my front wheel assist and still use way smaller equipment than I need to, for the simple fact I can get into wet spot, dry them out and plant the whole field VS leaving empty spots. Patching back in after things dry doesn't happen here, to much rain.

  35. I'm always envious of M's/SM's with good matching tires, and even more so if they are 23 degree Firestones. Oh, and eat your Wheaties if you try to remove that steel plate under the drawbar. Steel weighs more than cast iron, roughly 11% more, and that plate weighs almost as much as ALL the wheel weights. Nice SM, and the loader looks good too.

Ran her six hours seems to be running perfect , but we develop a leak from tranny input seals so we had to split it again and replaced input shafts bearings and seal engine rear seal was replaced with clutch so all should be good and I'll have my girl done so I can to do a few fun Tonyisms to her . tony

  42. I would just like to point out that while it wasn’t the answer you wanted, my response was prompt, on topic and offered a real solution and wasn’t even slightly snarky. All of those qualities are atypical of my usual posts. You however got cranky, if this is how you act at work it’s no wonder you can’t keep help😉

  46. Lining on clutch plates from both speed & range in suction screen. I removed side cover and shift valve to confirm. If I only was going into range that is what I would do, but have to get into speed too so may as well be off and out of the way. I have a bridge crane that covers entire shop so makes overhead lifting a breeze.
