  1. So this wasn't a surprise to Mrs. Shooter and myself, because the young man came to ask our blessing. But (not so) little shooter #1 is going to be getting married! Best part is neither one of them are extravagant people. She is actually thinking about doing a machine shed wedding! Going to be an interesting next year. One getting married, the last one graduating high school, and me retiring from the Army! Now I really need to get the new shed built!

  5. It has never bothered me either. But for those of us that couldn't stand looking at it i thought they did a clean job doing it compared to some of the hack jobs ive seen when some people had at it. Nice thing is it is easier to reroute a exhaust pipe than it is to get rid of the door/windshield seem on a JD soundguard cab.

  10. I am beginning to think that some just have a desire to argue their point when it’s clear they no longer have a position to argue. The post was about paying respect to Lee and then it blew up from there. I don’t know what kind of person he was, I didn’t care what kind of person he was, I just knew of his accomplishments as the head of Chrysler. For all the faults of this man, and by no means was he without faults as we are all without faults, it seemed to me just the acknowledgment of his passing without pissing on his grave should have been a simple thing for all of us to do.

  11. Was helping a friend with first crop. His 886 with M&W turbo on the blower and my 856 with M&w turbo on the copper box. Yeild wasn't that good for first crop. 8 loads off of 20 Acer's that didn't completely have winter kill.

Who knows maybe it will ted hay someday with the single rotor we have.. we use it for spreading out a merged windrow if it gets too wet from rain. Battery tray to make yet , carb I need to finish cleaning up and reassemble. Then if I can get the manifold on it will be close to runnable

  19. Wow....interesting how this post has turned in all directions. As far as thoughts on Mr. Iacocca, I am reminded of what I tell young, starting technicians at my dealership. It goes something like this.... "Remember, if you do 1000 things in life....and you do 999 of them correctly....and 1 of them incorrectly....which is it that people will remember you by?" Looks like someone on here has been transfixed on the one(OK, maybe more than one) thing Mr. Iacocca did incorrectly. Sadly, its a part of human nature to act this way. Fortunately, everyone else on here seems to remember

  20. I walked into the living room with a 1911 and a bottle of oil. Drizzled a little oil and started wiping it down, and said "what was it that you are here to talk about?" He took it all in good humor. I also showed him the set of 1871 open tops that she shoots😁, he was nervously impressed! 😂

  21. Well you must be pretty impressed with him or an admirer spending all that time reading about him and typing it up here. And once again, no long winded reply needed.

  22. I’m not infringing on your first amendment right. I’m simply saying show respect. If you can’t show respect to Mr Iacocca that’s fine, but you certainly aren’t showing ANY to the gentleman who started this post. I don’t care what MTO said or any other poster in this thread. You sir, aren’t getting the point I’m trying to make. Apparently it’s more than you can comprehend or more than your willing to comprehend. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and just think you’re just being an obstructionist here, trying to make a point that’s all muddled up now. But to reaffirm your first amen

  23. This 1486 has been for sale on the edge of my town for about a month. The paint is nice but what really stuck out to me is how nice of a job they did routing the exhaust out the side and up the cab post. It doesn't look like a hack job that ive seen on others that do this. If you didn't know better you would swear it came like that from the factory. The only detraction i can take off of it is they painted the cab stripe on the back of the cab white instead of black.

  32. Not a big fan of mustang2s but done right they can be nice looking cars. Rest in peace Mr Iacocca. Governments dont profit from wars but politicians do. Ie black water and other similar "independent" outside contractors with politicians as board of director members, shareholders ect. I believe this was the implication. That shouldnt be a stretch for some of our more cynical memebers to see......

  40. Congrats to the fine looking young couple! A machine shed wedding could be a blast. Lot of ideas for decorating! My middle son is getting married in Sept by the Minnechaduza creek with reception and dance at the White Elephant Hall in Cody. Probably have some "you know your at a sandhills wedding when" pics😄🤣
