Last weekend I picked up this 1947 Farmall A project. It is clean but not currently running. Previous owner said that it ran but started running lousy. I found the screen missing in the sediment bowl so I suspect a dirty carb. Rebuild kit just arrived along with some other new parts to correct the fuel system. Two questions; 1. Does anyone recognize what the two threaded rods would be for that were welded to the front axle and steering arm? 2. What are the correct bolts for the drawbar? Currently it is flopping around on only the two rear bolts which don't look correct. Front bolts are missing. Thanks! Jim1 point

Couple years ago baling wire was still available at Tractor Supply. Not the quality of 40 years ago but it still worked. Jerry1 point

A friend of mine inherited this 140 from his uncle several years ago. I've ask several times if he wanted to sell it. He always said no. Several weeks ago he came to me and said he realized he wasn't going to use it and ask if I'd like to buy it. I said let's go look at it. It's a 1972 model, all original. I looked at it said I'll take it, he said you want to talk to your wife first? I said no, I'll take it. It had been sitting for a couple years so I got the winch, etc thinking I would have to winch it on the trailer. I carried gas and jumper cables as well. Pulled the truck close enough to jump it after putting gas in it and it wouldn't fire. Found a piece of sand paper and sanded the points and it fired up and I drove it on the trailer. These are the pictures I took the day we looked at it.1 point

Might have hooked a spring to them to prevent steering wobble driving down the road.1 point

Scout the dog on the left ….some no good sob shot him and the bullet grazed his lower chest and blew out his left elbow, you can see him holding it up. I rescued him when he was gonna die, he literally cried when I found him. Fast forward about 4 yrs and he runs real good, has a limp but he gets around very good. Gypsy again on the right1 point

Bailey is a sweet dog, primarily she concerns herself with food but is totally submissive about it my folks dog couldn’t care less about food unless there’s competition. Then she’s an unpredictable angry little wolverine.0 points
