Mike,

Went back and looked at the wiring pics! Great shots!

My temp gauge is where your volt meter is placed.

Looks like all your systems should work. You will like the lights on both ends. Great looking restoration!

Regards,

 Chris

Very good.  Our son will start his archery hunt in your state on Saturday, hope he is as successful.  Now on with the red iron.

Where did you get the IH voltage gauge?  I like the looks of it.  Crawler looks awesome,  would love to have a gasser crawler.  No idea what I would do with it thou.

I'm actually going to replace with more correct time period one, so I may send it to you if you really like it.

@sugarmaker

I still need some input on my wiring.

1st I have what i believe to be a 1 wire alternator is that correct?  And that 1 wire goes to ?

The one wire goes to the battery positive. Often it is connected to the starter at the same terminal as the battery positive cable.

Have a look at wiring diagrams on

www.charliesrepair.com

He used an IH tech,  then taught Ag techs at college.  He wiring diagrams on his website for 6V & 12V systems.  He also has plug for sale to work with your 10S delco alternator.  He even lists size of wire to use.  I have 4 of his kits on our gas tractors from H to W450.

It would depend on the size of the alternator and the electrical load. Personally, I would not use smaller than 10 gauge unless I had a very high load

Mike,

I have a wiring diagram around here that I did for the TD6. Let me know if you need a copy. It might help?

Ok. So I have battery cables installed from battery to starter button and from starter button to starter, then I'm run from starter button to single wire alternator. How should I run power to the push/pull ignition switch? And do I run from other side of ignition switch to + side of coil ?

Should I fuse the power off the battery before I start wiring the rest of the components? Like lights/coil/ignition switch

Mike,

Not a expert here but usually the lights are the only thing where I have a fuse in the line.
