I'm just starting to learn a little about the Cub Cadets. I've seen some front mount blades for sale for either a wide frame or narrow frame. What models are wide and which are narrow? Is a 682 a wide frame?

TIA

I found some good information on the internet. I guess I answered my own question, yes the 682 is a wide frame.

The designation "wide frame" only refers to the widening of the frames to get the larger 14 & 16 HP engines to fit in the frames. There were also other changes to these models starting with the xx8 and xx9 models and most others after that.

The '61/''63 "Cub Cadet" is really it's own design, everything was different. But the 70, 100, 71, 102, 122 & 123 were Non quick-attach narrow frames. The 72, 73, 104/105/124/125/106/107/126/127/147 were all quick-attach NF's. The 86, 800, 108/109/128/129/149/169/1000/1200/1250/1450/1650 were all quick-attach WF's as were all the red tractors, the 482, 582, 682, 782, & 982.

How about the MTD Cub garden tractors then, 1440, 1641, 186x, and super's 178x 208x & 218x? Do they share any implements and characteristics of say, a 782?
