1066 registry

Recommended Posts

I shouldn't have ever hesitated on getting them, they're great. I him hawed around on getting some until I slipped off of the original ones last year and hit my left knee and foot. I'm still paying for it and it's been over a year. Believe it or not but it took a little while to get used to the additional step, 32 years of getting on and off of her with the other steps and it got to be 2nd nature where they're at. Didn't take long to get used to these though! It took a while to get used to the longer aluminum remote handles too that came from Wilson, they're nice too.

I have loved the 1066's, since I was a young boy, now I have 2 myself, and my dad has 2, so I was wondering if anyone has started a registry of this model? If not I am looking forward to starting this one, like everyone else, I would like serial#, name of owner, town, and state located. I will even keep track of the retired (salvaged) 1066's. Thanks everyone!!

Blaine

I have a 1066 Hydro serial # 9651 It is a 1971 model It is a factory fender tractor has 3300 original hours.

I am the second owner and it was purchased at White & Son imp. Goldfield , Iowa.

Good luke with your venture!!! Ron Johanson Thor, Iowa

owner: John Arnold

location: Columbia, Kentucky

serial number: 2610172U025453

year model: 1973

John is the third owner and this winter it is going to be sanded down and repainted and the cab is coming off and new fenders added along with K&M steps

My brother bought this tractor up north in the early 80s and sold it to a local dairy farmer and he sold it to John Arnold the present owner at a consignment sale in 1986. Thats a IH 490 disk hooked to it in the picture, John farms 1500 acres of grain and has two Magnum tractors also, a 7120 and a 7110 and a 706 and a new 80hp Massey with a loader and cab along with other smaller tractors and also a MF 1805

Blaine I jotted down Randy Hutchisons 1066 serial numbers again and here they are:

2610159U012687 and I proff read this three times to triple check these numbers and that is the number of that tractor.

Blaine here is a 1976 model 1066 with only 2500 original hours, this guy bought it awhile back off a retired farmer down there in Alabama and he said the old man never used it and kept it in a shed practically alls its life, it was sitting beside his fruit stand on hwy59 and its hooked to a 14ft IH 370 disk. It is aged and the paint is bad but what do ya expect in the heat and humidity of south Alabama

We purchased our 1066 from a guy near Elliott, Iowa. It had thrown a rod and put a hole in the block so we replaced the engine with a D414 and a t04 from an IH 915 combine. It had an original IH white cab, but with bad glass, doors, and door hinges. Here are two pics I took a week ago and today, as we are in the process of painting it.

Owned by:

Mark Beedle

Oakland, Iowa

Serial #2610172U031025*

Here's more I obtained from work:

International 1066

What was the serial number for the last "Farmall 1066" (red & white tractor)?

It would be interesting to see how close your Registry would go to finding the lowest and highest serial numbered 1066!

Well Michael, the first 1066 serial number 7101 has been located, but I can not divulge any info, for the sake of a possible sale of the tractor to a forum member here!! The last 1066 serial number is 62048, and the closest number I have to that is 62034, located in Arkansas. Now what do you mean by red and white tractor, the last number before the Black Stripe?

I'll just give you what I have for what I think you are asking. The last serial number for the non Black Stripe is, 55424, the very first Black Stripe 10 in production was 55425. This tractor was produced as a 1975 model, with the serial tag still on the bell housing. The 76 Black Stripes had the tag down on the right side of the rear end housing like an 86 series. Serial number 56672 is the first 1066 in production for 1976, so technically the first Black Stripe! The closest numbers I have to this tractor are 56628, a very late 75 Black Stripe, and 57236, and the last info I heard about this tractor was, as of 8/6/09 it was for sale in Pennsylvania!

I hope this answered your questions, if you have anymore feel free to post, or pm me!! Thanks! Blaine

Kevin, and Kirk

That would be great to get 2 more serial numbers!! I am in no hurry, I know there are a lot of them to go yet, so when you get them, just let me know! Also if you know of others in your areas, dealers, salvage yards, or where ever, and you can get the info from them, that would be a great help too!! Thanks again guys!

I just purchased SN #56423. It is a 1975 Black Stripe. I bought it out of Pennsylvania and the fellow I got it from bought it out of New York. It has original paint with decals from the Delaware Farmers Exchange in the black stripe. The key chain was from Buckeye Tractor and Implement which I believe is the private dealership which used to be the co-op called Delaware Farmers Exchange.

This tractor travelled quite a bit... Buckeye Tractor and/or Delaware Farmers Coop were/are in Delaware Ohio, which is just north of the capital on US 42 west of I-71. JP

My 1466 has Delaware Farmers Exchange stickers on the white side panel above the 1466 decal. Was this place an IH dealer? Can you share anymore info about this place? Are they still in business?

I'm fixin' it up a little at a time, as time allows, when I got it the red paint was all but gone on the front end so I did a little painting to the easy pieces to get it presentable and stop the rust.

I've got one more, an open station with the steel canopy, I'll get it when I'm back at the field it's in
