New to me pickup

Recommended Posts

I picked up a 2001 Silverado 2500HD, a while back, and it came with the chrome steel wheels, but no center caps.

Chevrolet figured the caps were worth $80 a pop, with the Chevy "bow-tie", on them.

I found 'generic' centers on E-pay for $35 for a set of 4.

Those look pretty blah, so what to do?

Go to the sign shop near by and get some decals made....IMG_1313.thumb.JPG.84b6fb6984c7a67421b63a249593a12f.JPG

Bingo-----these should look good on a bright red Chevy   IMG_1314.thumb.JPG.af169eb2dc70b88f76e9dee56bd5e5fa.JPG

Mission accomplished!!!!   ;)

Did that very thing on my chrome centers on a set of chrome spokes when I was in high school. Could only do the rear though as the front had lock outs. They are still on there thirty some years later.

Using the IH decals is a different take on the situation.

I would have thought about using a 3-D printer to make a set of Chevrolet bow-ties and then glue them on.
