Wheels

Recommended Posts

I would like to put bigger fronts on a 1086. What wheels do I need ? Are they available? What kind of backspacing do I need if ordering?

What wheel depends on exactly what size tire you want to use.

I would think most any tire store could answer your questions.

That would be a 14L x 16.1 it was an option on later 86series and all 50 series tractor came in 8 bolt pattern only should be able to find some at salvage yard.

I have ran into the same issue. I have a 8 hole wheel at the house right now that I bought new for my 1086 and the offset wasn't correct. I just wanted a spare for the front. I have 10.00-16 on my 986 and 11.00-16 on my 1086 and I am pretty sure the wheels are the same. I will for warn you with 11.00's they just darn near rub the spindle. In fact it doesn't take much mud and it is rubbing.

There SHOULD be different wheels for 10.00x16 and 11.00x16 tires. 8x16 wheels for 10.00, 10x16 for 11.00.  If your wheels are the same then somebody just upsized tires on your 1086, explains the tires almost rubbing.

Interesting. Thanks Dr.

16.5L16.1 are also an option.

Depending on what you have now 11.00-16 or even 10.00-16 can be bigger than currently on it
