mcv gaskets

Recommended Posts

Put a new pump in an 86 series and now we can't keep gaskets in it have blown the middle mcv gasket twice on the bottom right hand corner. We used after market gaskets before ,going to try factory ones next, has anyone else ever ran across this problem? I can't see anything wrong with the valve or the plate looking for suggestions.

And torque every bolt with a torque wrench.  Brand of gasket never really gave me trouble. Did u forget a o ring?

No the o-ring was in it both times I used an mcv kit from a supplier it pushed about a two inch piece of gasket out on the back lower corner both times?

It has been colder than usual here ,but nothing compared to what they deal with up  north.

I think i go 23 ft lbs. I'e seen threads get striped by people cranking on them. And wrong bolt length  are u hitting bottom.  O and the right gasket in the right place there are like 4 different gaskets. Very important. Torque 3 times.   Did u check regulated press  you might have a valve sticking.
