Farmall 400 LPG Starter

Recommended Posts

Hello All

I have a Farmall 400 Factory  LPG needs a new starter drive. The starter is a Delco #1108626 12 Volt.  Apparently this starter and/or Drive is hard to find. thank you for any help on this

Also, it has the Ensign regulator. i new of the guy in OK that had repair kits but not sure if they are still available.

Thank you for any help.

That is a heavier duty starter for LP. They have higher compression and turn harder. Unsure which drive it takes.

A kit for the Ensign regulator can usually be found through your local LP dealer. Get the model # off your regulator.

If no one is close, search the interweb for Teeco Products.

If it is used for propane, this company has it and will have a kit for you.

They are easy to put in but you should test the valves for leaks using water and low air pressure. I have had to tweak the arms in the past to get them to seal properly. Just takes some time and a book to follow along with.

That starter and drive are obsolete. IH replaced  with another starter number  years ago so you would need to find a old one still laying around somewhere.
