1486 first serial #

Recommended Posts

I just saw this advertised on St.Louis CL the first 1486 made. Sale is in Perryville MO on Dec. 2nd no picture and I did not check into it ,but I thought someone on here might be interested. Perryville is probably about 50 miles south of St.Louis right off of interstate 55.

He knows where the first 1066 is also. Machinery Pete can visit him again and give us a YouTube vacation again

I thought most serial numbers started with 501, but I must have been wrong.

They started with 8601 for the 1486. Machinery Pete has video up of it. The owner never knew he had #1. His wife and daughters tell the story. Neat tractor. Would look good next to Danny's 1086  👍

It brought $31,500 . It was sold onsite, but I didn't get to go 😡The boss decided that work was more important, but that pays the bills...

I thought it would have brought more than that. A Case? Stars and Stripes near Sledgehammer brought 34,500 on auction today

There was a 1206 at that sale also. I did not attend to know what the hammer price was but if that Case brought $34,500 then the 1206 should have hit $50K....(both, unrestored if I remember correctly)
