This guy is a patriot

Recommended Posts

The wife and I went with my brother and his wife to a concert tonight. We both like music but don't take the time or spend the money to go to very many live shows. This is the first time we have gone out to any more than supper since having our son almost 7 months ago. There were three acts there. Alex Williams was the first opener and he had a good sound. Next up was Blackberry Smoke. I have seen them before as they are a favorite of mine. The headliner was Aaron Lewis. He was the lead singer of the band Staind a few years back. What really impressed me was the first thing he did when he came out on stage. He made a few comments about the country (nothing political) and a giant American flag unrolled in the background. People cheered. He said made a comment that we will stand for the flag here and asked everyone to remove their hats/caps. This guy started the pledge with the entire crowd on their feet and respectful. It was an impressive sight for a sold out house to follow along with that. I was proud to see it. Later in the show he asked for a moment of silence for those people in Vegas, NY, and other areas with recent violence. His music is not my favorite out there but he sure earned my respect tonight and I would recommend anyone to give his current tour a chance. Show started at 7:30 and ended around 11:30.

He is definitely patriotic. I like most of his music and have a CD of his in the service truck. The one with granddaddy's gun or whatever it is called

I'm also a big fan, his album Town Line is a favorite with a couple versions of Country Boy

I like his country stuff, but have liked Staind much better since I grew up with all of it. From any interview I've seen him do, he seems like a very polite, respectful person.
